    Here you go. Motion detection at a business entrance at 10PM in Seattle. I blurred the face but no other enhancements. Camera is 50 yds away, zoomed to 30x (optical).

    It's not dark at night where I have the camera. There's a big floodlight shining in the capture area.

    FYI - camera may be cheap (is $185 USD cheap?) but it works great (now) and records beautifully in 4K/30 FPS!

    Aha! I found the setting thats causing it: under the AI tab, I disabled "PTZ Auto Tracking"

    Yep, it successfully added to BI and everything works, except recording via trigger. I can manually record, it's just the trigger record that causes the gimbal spasm.

    Thanks for the reply. Yeah, this is my first foray into IP Cams. I tried factory reset on the cam but no change. The camera seems decent in every other way. Optics are great and all other functions work with BI - except, arguably, the most important. Also, Blue Iris won't record a trigger...
