    Version 6

I appreciate the feedback. Skin in the game, and putting your cameras where your money is speaks a lot. As for the rest, I work with limited resources, unrealistic expectations, and do my best to earn my keep. I'm make the switch after the 1st.

    Version 6

I'm still watching this thread and waiting. I'm not going to switch over to BI 6 before Q1 2026. My application is not quite mission critical, but I have to answer a lot of questions several times a day if things aren't working right. I have 31 cameras, and 15 fps isn't good enough. My...

    Version 6

Is there going to be a way for people who stick with stable releases instead of latest updates to know when BI6 is officially a stable release?

    Version 6

Fyi- Version 5.9.9.98 came up as a critical / highly stable update so I installed it. I was getting a lot of transient keyframe errors on the feeds from my old Hikvision NVR. Setting the image format from 30.00 fps to 29.97 fps fixed the issue. I will keep eyes here until Version 6 looks like...

    Version 6

I use the software update built into Blue Iris. Is version 6 going to be listed as a critical or highly stable update in the future for automatic update?

    NVR Replacement Suggestions

I would like to replace my Hikvision DS-6716HQHI with an NVR that supports h265 encoding. I have 15 cameras run many directions over long distances with RG6 cables and BNC connections. The capabilities I would like to maintain are 1080p 30fps video, main and substreaming to Blue Iris. I have...

Blueiris Server 90-100% CPU Usage! Help, I can't figure out why?

The last big CPU hog I had was UI3 users looking at all cameras in timeline. I unchecked the Require/decode ALL video frames (local, streaming and timeline) in the local console group settings.

    Blue Iris witout Maintenance

ZeroTier can be very helpful if you want to remote view something without messing around too much.

General Recommendations / NVR / Nvidia Driver Recommendations

To prevent UI3 CPU spikes in timeline view, I unchecked the box for Require/decode ALL video frames (local, streaming and timeline) in the All cameras group settings.

General Recommendations / NVR / Nvidia Driver Recommendations

For my cameras in my setup, I'm getting much more efficiency for same quality, resolution and FPS. h264 at 720p either matches or is greater than the bitrate of my h265 cameras at 1080p. That may be due to my NVR, which I would like to replace. I can try to sell 15fps, but not getting my...

General Recommendations / NVR / Nvidia Driver Recommendations

Let me add some specific information. Space is a premium. I'm only on LTO 6 and don't have enough budget to go any higher, and can only get about 4 days per tape, which will shrink as more cameras are added. I have a pretty large mix of cameras, and my older NVR substreams are low resolution...

General Recommendations / NVR / Nvidia Driver Recommendations

Good afternoon. I have been running Blue Iris 5 for a couple years now, and it has been great. I have been slowly trying to get to my maximum capability and would like to know what others have done or experienced as working well. My system: Windows 11 Pro Dual Xeon x5690 SuperMicro X8dtn+ Rev...
