    UI3 shows wrong dates

Have you checked the health of your drives? Might be worth doing because if there are damaged sectors, maybe that might explain why BI can't access all the allocated space. Unsure if BI can detect areas marked as unavailable for writing to in it's disc space anaylsis. I wouldn't know. Just a...

IR for Nighttime Performance for UniFi Cameras SUCK

What it needs is for manufacturers to realise video lives matter. Until someone breaks free from the crowd & starts using larger format ie 1" plus, high quality sensors / processor in a reasonably priced camera, nothing much is going to change. Problem we have is little has changed in the last...

    Solar powered ip cams?

Looks good but remember with solar, the needs have to be based on the worst days of winter as these are the shortest days. Also, if where you live suffers dark rainy or snowy days for days on end, then your battery needs to last long enough to cover those periods. If you might get a full week of...

Dahua keeps dropping Frames Per SEcond (FPS) to around 5 - 6 even though it's programmed to do 25.

Streaming is your issue then. Sounds like insufficient processing power or bandwidth.

Dahua keeps dropping Frames Per SEcond (FPS) to around 5 - 6 even though it's programmed to do 25.

Do you mean it reverts in the web interface or in the recording? If you set the parameters in the web interface using Edge Browser or similar, you may find that those settings aren't retained for long after you close it. Best to use IE for settings although some report sucess with Blue Moon. If...

    Trying SSD on BI

Most HD manufacturers have utilities that quiz / test hard drives / SSD's for data failure. It's always worth using the manufacturers SSD tools for maximum transparency.

Do you all agree with this statement regarding different focal lengths?

Theya re history but I think that's got soemthing to do with the smaller sensor size they're using now rather than full colour cams per say, being history. You're just not going to get low light full colour without supplementary lighting out of a 1/1.8" sensor currently....and personally, I hate...

This is one expensive doorbell ED-525B-WB - even cost more than Ubiquiti Doorbells

The reviews don't exactly seem enthusiastic over quality. For that money I'd want something matching the very best CCTV cameras.

Do you all agree with this statement regarding different focal lengths?

I have no issue with full colour combined with IR provided you can force colour. The issues I'm seeing are that the quality isn't there yet to match large sensors. The manufacturers seem to be concentrating on cheap small sensors and artifical enhancements (presumably to maximise profits)...

Do you all agree with this statement regarding different focal lengths?

You're are correct at Hassleblad. Nothing wrong with a colour only sensor provided the night sensitvity is good enough. Look at the 4kT. Sold shed loads. Not everyone has a pitch black situation or is unable to provide low level supplemental lighting.

Do you all agree with this statement regarding different focal lengths?

As you know, they already made it in the Sony SNC-VB770IP camera with a 35mm sensor as per this test by a retailer: I'm sure BP remembers this and that a member used to have one on here. The trouble was it was over $6,500 from memory for body alone & then required a 35mm lens, housing with...

Do you all agree with this statement regarding different focal lengths?

AI contradicting itself. Security doesn't care about look, just ....evidence quality. Evidence quality is dependent on look!! It's a misconception for this reason that quality doesn't matter and find me someone who wouldn't like a CCTV picture that looks like it's been shot on a RED camera...

Do you all agree with this statement regarding different focal lengths?

Hollywood magic if anyone thinks you can pull in a good picture from 100yds away using an 8mp sensor and digital zoom. Even if the pixel density supported it which it doesn't appear to from experience, there's the issue of focal point (if it's not focused on the object there's little you can do...

    Which one? Choice of 3

A hopsital report should take care of that though. In the UK dashcams appear hardly used any more after a boom some years ago. The issue is over here the Insurers seem to operate most claims on a knock for knock basis ie if they can apportion any blame whatsoever on you they do so, and then...

    T54PRO-ZE vs IPC-Color4M-TZ

I agree in so far as I don't want LED's on all the time. On detection yes. But all the time no as it costs electricty and wears them out quicker. On a separate but related topic I'd rather have a better sensor on a CCTV camera than led's built in to compensate.

IPC-Color4K cameras aren't showing me any video

Also be aware of your POE requirements. From memory I believe the 4kt's use around 25w max so you probably want to budget 30w per camera to be safe + whatever each of your other cameras require with a safety margin as well.

I have to say I think small fpv drones are a distraction for the arms industry. I don't think they're the real answer to warrfare. Every govn is making a great fanfare of them but forget they're being used by a nation that can't afford missiles or precision artillery. It would be far more...
