I may have made some progress. It's confusing on which machine it needs to be plugged into at certain steps. I updated the serial drivers and got to the next step, but now need to figure out how the buttons need to be pressed for it to initialize. -

The one I plan to use is around 20"x17". The enclosure will probably be 30"x30" because I can't find anything in a 28" that will work. A lot of people use an Epson L210SF, which is around 12"x10". -

Here are some captures, for reference. The X3 image could work for recognize, but I wasn't happy with it. X3, even with ALL of the onboard IR it has. Unfortunately I didn't save many captures. These are the Mid and Far views. Z4E with it's fewer onboard IR LEDs. -

Well, I bought a $40 Lenovo Thinkcenter, got HA loaded onto it, and now have ESPHome running. I just need to wait for the USB TTL adapter to arrive, but I should probably also buy a better soldering station, too. -

The Z4 and Z12E are set it, and forget it, focus/zoom. They are not PTZs. -

I am on a 5.9 version. It wasn't difficult. Click Go Live, then create a Stream Key (and make sure to adjust the resolution accordingly before saving it). If you have been live before, then just select the appropriate Stream Key from the drop down. Then in Blue Iris, from the camera's settings...
