Less sharpness in T54PRO-ZE (versus 5442-S3) possibly due to noise reduction being applied even if set to ZERO?

Please remember that 54IR and 54PRO are using different sensors from different companies which have totally different characteristics.. 54IR are using sensors from Omnivision (typical sign is WDR at 140/150db level for 4Mpx plus only 4/8 Mpx variants). 54PRO / 34PRO / ColorVu are using sensors...

RTSP stream of all channels grid from Dahua NVR?

yes... it's called channel zero... configure grid size and channel list to display on NVR's HDMI.. then when you connect to NVR using DMSS you will see as first channel 'channel zero' with all channels (NVR UI)... then you can use typical Dahua RTSP URL with channel=17 (or channel=33) for...

    Dahua 5442/T54IR vs the rest

@EMPIRETECANDY Andy PLEASE... Change names of your Color4M/8M cams to our unified system. 34PRO, 38PRO 24WHITE (or 24COLOR)... No-one understands actual messs with Color4M/8M... PS. If you must use Color4M names due FCC registration, please use dual names in Your shop (like 'T34PRO-AS /...

    EmpireTech 2025 Autumn Sales

Oh, okay, the music is playing cool... If Trump tweeted today that President Xi was simply just having a bad day and that Trump will help China... It couldn't be otherwise... :) Why should I and the entire market care if things go wrong, hahaha :) PS. I wonder what it will look like in...

    EmpireTech 2025 Autumn Sales

China 3 days ago restricted export of many rare earth elements - produced or refined in China or using China technology. Which will hit very much both the US and other western countries (Europe, Japan etc). They are used for electronic productions - from small chips used in everyday electronics...

Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

In many cases have sense - especially to differentiate different things (street vs plot, people entrance by gates etc). But not so much on this one (lots of "objects" happening on the scene...) @Chokolinho didn't answer what objects invoked those intrusions.. so I'm shooting with possibilities

Dahua Product Availability in the U.S. ends December 31, 2025

I have question for people who have access to Luminys cams / NVRs / software: Are they fully compatible (private protocol, not ONVIF) with Dahua cams / NVRs or not?? Can Luminys NVR and mobile app supports fully (over private protocol) connected Dahua cams? Or vice-versa? I read different...

Ubiquiti released U6 Pro Bullet - with 1/1.2" 4K sensor

Color only (no IR) cams were a thing in 2020-2022.. a stupid idea/decision that was quickly abandoned... All new cam models released in last 2 years, both by Dahua & HIK are hybrids (IR + white) or IR only but with possibility to run color mode at night (if external lighting is ok).. no one is...

Ubiquiti released U6 Pro Bullet - with 1/1.2" 4K sensor

8MPx 1/1.2" Starvis 1 sensor is NOT 'NIR enhanced' (term from Sony materials). So in comparison to all normal sensors for CCTV cameras it have very weak IR performance. I simplified this to 'can't see IR'. All camera manufacturers used this sensors only in 'white light only' cams..

Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

Andy - do you have original snapshots in full resolution (4Mpx) done by camera web interface? Those images are resized and I think (not 100% sure) there are resized from small resolution (so probably secondary stream).. very soft, lack of sharpness & details everywhere... no good...

Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

there is upper limit of it.. defined in internal firmware settings... Older TIOC-PRO firmwares allowed for more... It's a pity that it can't be edited in manual settings.. My main problem with automatic modes (and the entire AI-SSA) is that Dahua should introduce a simple, three-position...

Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

OK - a very important comment for those testing their new 54PRO (and it also applies to the 34PRO/Color4M/TIOC-PRO)... These cameras have a dual system for "amplification" of brightness at night. The first, the classic gain, also called ISO, is an analog gain on the sensor itself. This analog...

T54PRO-ZE versus T5442-S3 in low light

there is a few video comparisons of 54PRO to 54IR on main thread.. but ok, as you want I reply here... you should do video comparison with some human movement of both cameras.. best on 1/50 (1/60) or 1/100 (1/120) and gain limited to 50-60.. With 1/10 you didn't even stressed any of the cams...

Using POE NVR without providing power

Many times I added second camera in place where I had only 1 CAT5 cable - by splitting 1,2,3,6 and 4,5,7,8 pairs into two separate plugs on both ends (always connected as 1,2,3,6).. Works like two separate CAT5 cables plugged to two separate POE switch ports - the only limitation is that...
