Worlds First Review - Dahua DH-IPC-HDW5849H-ASE-LED / IPC-Color4K-T - 2.8mm Turret
Just curious if any of you with the 4K-T have gotten the recently released (fixed focal) T54PRO-AS and have an opinion of it versus the 4K-T? The 4K-T is 8MP with 1/1.2" sensor, whereas T54PRO-AS is 4MP with 1/1.8" sensor ... with the claimed(!) lux values of 0.005 and 0.004 in full color. -

I defer to others more knowledgeable, but since you are running a pretty high bit rate, maybe reduce the FPS from 25 to 15 to reduce the load on the camera CPU. Ideally that would not make any difference ... but at least for testing purposes, maybe worth trying. -

Any reason you aren't allowing the Iris to go full open? I agree should not be necessary during the daylight (and smaller aperture is more DOF and the lens should be sharper) ... but any chance that makes a difference? -

@Chokolinho : I'm looking at those Large "vertical" concrete rectangles that border the road ... plus the inside of the circular manhole cover. Does the "dimpling" as shown in the video match how it appears in real-life? This is the type of stuff that I'm seeing get "smeared" (even with NR=0)... -

Per a suggestion from Andy, I tried rolling forward to the 0928 Firmware that he had temporarily released (recall this "reset" the gain scale so that 0-100 was 0-62 on the 0731 firmware) and the NR is still happening (easily seen on my street/driveway) - again, gain=ZERO and 2D/3D NR is set to... -

Boy ... that's looks pretty sharp ... the only fuzziness I saw was against the wall which is I bet is distance related. Love to see some nighttime color footage with no LED light. Also, I forgot if you have the ZE ... but if so, can you give us some idea of what the zoom setting is that matches... -

Direct link to the release notes - sounds like hardly anything changed between the ".1" version (dated 7/31/2025 ... and what my camera is running, but from firmware provided by @EMPIRETECANDY ) and the .2 (dated 8/27/2025) ... and nothing appears related to what I'm asking about here. -

@bigredfish : Similar to @tmxv4128, I also am "Currently running the 7.31.25 firmware (started with the 9.28.25 firmware)." @tmxv4128 : Depending on your workflow, you may be encountering this issue I documented on the 5442-S3's ... since that kinda gives an appearance of "Saran plastic wrap"... -

Totally agree ... there is too much dynamic range ... you need some light in the deep shadows. And you are going to have to be careful not to "tip" it the other direction by making your porch overly bright. BTW, I wonder if you put some rope light at the top of your front wall plus some on the...
