Confusion around Day/Night switch utility and newer Dahua cameras

It doesn't automatically switch profiles at all. All it does is switch between Color and B&W within the current profile! Even if it worked the way you said, this doesn't solve the problem because then BI will switch profiles at a completely different time, and it's now impossible to sync them...

Ripping my hair out - CAMERA STUCK ON DAY PROFILE

The entire reason I noticed the fact that it was locked the day mode in the first place is because the day profile looks like ass at night, so no, I absolutely cannot 'get by' with one profile. I actually can't imagine anyone could, unless they just leave the thing on auto exposure and have a...

Confusion around Day/Night switch utility and newer Dahua cameras

Like I said in that thread -- where I live, daylight savings means that sunset occurs over 2 hours later than the 'average' time for that month. Having the cameras be either completely blown out or crushed black for over 2 hours multiple days per year is not a workable solution. This is a...

Ripping my hair out - CAMERA STUCK ON DAY PROFILE

Wh Wait a minute... So the camera itself could go into 'night' mode, but the actual profile change in BI could happen up to an hour later? Where I live, daylights savings means that the sun could set up to 2 hours later than the 'regular' time set in the schedule. How am I supposed to have...

Ripping my hair out - CAMERA STUCK ON DAY PROFILE

Also lets say I make a schedule in the Dahua WebUI. Will BI automatically detect when the camera changes profiles and apply the relevant profile to BI? Or do I also have to apply the exact same schedule to BI?

Confusion around Day/Night switch utility and newer Dahua cameras

Did anyone end up solving this for the newer cameras? I've currently got a similar issue: https://ipcamtalk.com/threads/ripping-my-hair-out-camera-stuck-on-day-profile.83294 I've found that when I 'paint' a schedule for the current month, all of a sudden I am able to apply 'night' profile...

Ripping my hair out - CAMERA STUCK ON DAY PROFILE

That sounds like a big pain in the ass tbh. Even if I make a schedule based on the average rise/set times, what happens when it's a month where daylight savings starts/ends? You're telling me I'll have to remember twice a year to log on and manually adjust the schedule on each of these cameras?

Ripping my hair out - CAMERA STUCK ON DAY PROFILE

So how do you set it up within the Dahua web UI to take account of the constantly changing sunset/sunrise times??

Ripping my hair out - CAMERA STUCK ON DAY PROFILE

That's a HELL of a quirk! What if I don't want to set up a schedule and let BI -- or the Dahua utility some others are using -- to handle profile changes?

And just to prove I don't have any schedules set up:

Ripping my hair out - CAMERA STUCK ON DAY PROFILE

Hey all, So I bought my dad a DH-SDT3E410-8P-MB-A-PV1 for his birthday so he can keep track of his dog in the backyard. It has two channels -- a panoramic camera, and a PTZ 'detail' camera. First thing I did was dial in the image/encode settings for both the 'day' and 'night' profiles on both...

DH-SD5A225GB-HNR PTZ Problems in Blue Iris

Hey mate, did you end up working this out? I just got a Dahua DH-SDT3E410-8P-MB-A-PV1 and no matter what PTZ profile I choose, I cannot get PTZ controls working in BI (fine in the web UI). Tried everything yourself and others have suggested. Any ideas?

    Auto-track PTZ camera for dog

Couldn't you turn BI's motion sensor off, and simply use the trigger from the camera's IVS tripwire to create an alert in BI?

    Auto-track PTZ camera for dog

Wow that's great! Why wouldn't Dahua advertise this? You'd think it would be a selling point! How do you view/record the footage from the alert? BI? If so, do you set the camera up as 'external trigger'?

    Auto-track PTZ camera for dog

Wow, so even though there's no specific setting for animals, it still just tracks your dog as it would a human? No additional setup/workaround in BI needed? If yes, then I presume that it doesn't auto-zoom?

    Auto-track PTZ camera for dog

I have, and it doesn't really answer my question. It just deals with manual control and presets. So again - is it possible to have BI 'auto track' an object detected by CP.ai through a PTZ camera?

    Auto-track PTZ camera for dog

Hey guys, I'm looking at maybe getting this for my dad so he can track/watch his dog in his yard when he's not home. https://www.amazon.com/EmpireTech-Starlight-5mm-125mm-Auto-Tracking-Protection/dp/B0BPH7L1Z1 However, I notice that it doesn't have any built-in pet tracking (only humans and...

Auto-Maximize in UI3 - How to cycle between multiple simultaneous alerts?

Oh yeah I know that. I was just asking hypothetically.

Auto-Maximize in UI3 - How to cycle between multiple simultaneous alerts?

Fair enough, thanks for the explanation. Would it be possible to exclude specific cameras from the auto-maximise feature? At least then I'd be able to narrow it down to 2 or 3 cameras.

Auto-Maximize in UI3 - How to cycle between multiple simultaneous alerts?

I've been playing around with auto-maximize on UI3 and can't get it to work the way I want it to. I have alerts set up for CP.ai to detect my dog in the backyard as well as vehicles which enter my driveway. Let's say my dog is moving in my backyard, generating an alert (this is desired...

Looking for an IP cam with automatic sensor light built-in

The problem is that only her face would be visible above the fence, so detecting a dog would also be a failsafe in case the AI detection misses her.

Looking for an IP cam with automatic sensor light built-in

He's mostly an inside dog, so the light would ostensibly only come on while he's outside at night (not that often).

Looking for an IP cam with automatic sensor light built-in

Motion Detection is out of the question, sorry. It will be placed in a backyard with lots of bushes/trees, ie. As soon as there is a strong breeze or rain event, it will spit notifications. His NVR doesn't have pet detection built in, so it has to be on the camera.

Looking for an IP cam with automatic sensor light built-in

Hey guys, I'm looking for a good low light 5MP/4K PoE camera (either bullet or turret) which has a built in light which can be set to turn on/off based on AI detection of humans or pets. My dad has a unique situation where his neighbour -- who is an elderly lady with schizophrenia -- routinely...

Dahua NVR -- where to set pre-recording seconds for IVS rule

Almost one year later and still not fixed. This is really frustrating because it means I'm forced to disable general recording (which I want at a lower resolution), just to be able to see in full res what happened a few seconds earlier. Has anyone come up with a workaround or solution? Or do you...

    NVR16CH-16P-2AI - any tutorials?

The video Andy linked said specifically that SMD is a 'filter' for MD. Whenever I enable IVS, it triggers the alarm sound on my cameras for some reason, even though I have it unchecked as per my screenshot in the OP.

    NVR16CH-16P-2AI - any tutorials?

Thanks, I've followed this entire video, and turned acupick off and enabling AI mode, but even though I have enabled motion detection and SMD on all channels for humans, I still don't see any 'blue' intelligence recordings, it's all just green for general recording. What am I doing wrong?

    NVR16CH-16P-2AI - any tutorials?

    NVR16CH-16P-2AI - any tutorials?

Ok I can confirm it doesn't. There doesn't seem to be any recording info under SS for that channel now. Damn. Is there any other way to have the NVR pick up on this feed? It's a Dahua varifocal cam.
