    Portforwarding with IPV6

Ah, port forwarding, just dont. You are way better off using a client based VPN for remote access than with the added risk of port forwarding.

    US Elections (& Politics) :)

Many mauser 98s were "sporterized" after ww1 and ww2 and 30-06 was a caliber that many Americans were familiar with due to its use in the war. Stocks were changed. The 30-06 is very close in specs to the 8mm that many mausers were originally chambered for so it wasn't a huge effort to convert...

Dude don't port forward bi. Use a VPN service instead. Exposes your bi system to so much less on the internet that way

    Trying SSD on BI

I am writing my "new" folder to a Samsung ssd. It was pulled out of a soon to be recycled 6 year old when I put it in a year ago. No signs of slowing down either. A quality ssd should be fine for quite a while on a system that doesn't have a ton of cameras.

How does everyone here view BI on there PC?

I embed the streams into dashboards I built for control/display of my other home automation systems. This is displayed on 2 in 1 windows laptops throughout the home. Would work on tablets also, just happened to come across a good deal on the 2 in 1s

Request: Your experience with Win 10 vs. 11 & different versions.

Never had an issue with either. Running win 11 24h2 in a VM right now. I have always allowed it to auto update windows and again never had an issue. Also check/install updates for BI on a semi weekly basis. I just don't get how some folks have the problems they do...

Neighborhood Drug House -- Would You Post Videos On The Internet?

Just start sending the videos to law enforcement, not worth the potential repercussions on yourself, home or family. There is no predicting what will or won't take off and go viral anymore.

    UNIFI—The Best Option...?

The unifi ecosystem is pretty good for what it is. It is far less customizable and not as good of quality of images, but if you want an all in one, network and camera solution they are tough to beat for something you can just drop in and have a reasonable expectation for it to just work.

What's the max number of cameas you have run on Blue Iris?

Bi can handle upto 60 or 65 cameras provided you have a system that can handle that many.

Make Your Doors Secure with this Easy Trick ( affordable mod to do to your front door to reduce odds of brute force attack success )

All of these are pretty moot depending on what kind of ground level windows you have. If you have a big picture window on ground level all they have to do is throw a lawn chair through it

Mounting server rack to concrete basement wall

I would use tapcon screws to fasten a large piece of plywood and then mount the rack to the plywood. Probably 3/4 plywood, or some 2x4 where the mount points are for the rack.

Mechanical fiber splices are becoming very common. I am aware of multiple isps that use them locally for terminating fiber to the home type runs.

    Is CodeProject.AI done?

This is my biggest complaint about CPAI, usually it's a cat or dog marked as a bear. Or rain marked as a person. But it does significantly cut down on false alerts when NOTHING is there. But you get what you pay for and since CPAI is free, it is what it is.

Blueiris setup with port forwarding issues- need some help

Do not port forward BI , there are about a billion vpn options out there and then you don't have the risk of exposing your systems to the raw internet.

CodeProject.AI Server ver 2.8.0 install issue?

I just did the same thing going from 2.6 to 2.8 and found it was missing a dot net dependency and would not start. Check the windows event log, will have a link to download the dependency.

I have a camera under attack. How are they doing this?

Again, ditch the port forwarding and use a vpn. Lots of options there and eliminates this from happening again.

I have a camera under attack. How are they doing this?

There isn't much you can do as long as that port is still open. Close the port and use a vpn instead, won't have this issue
