Why is BI exporting only part of my 1 hour video?

An update has been published. The new setting has been added: And all playback controls are now available on smaller screens without some disappearing or overflowing offscreen (they'll wrap to new lines if necessary, like UI3 does).

Why is BI exporting only part of my 1 hour video?

I did not think of adding such a button. I'll add it as an option. I don't want to restrict feature availability to devices with physical keyboards though, so I'll just add these as regular buttons with no required Ctrl modifier. Actually since this app sucks on a small screen, I'll also go...

Wild Boar Out for a Walk

Just trying to scroll past it with mouse wheel would have taken me forever. I'm gonna ... edit his post a bit ... put that failed inline image into a quote block so it collapses.

Why is BI exporting only part of my 1 hour video?

I'd like to know if BVR-Player-Web can export fully the clips which Blue Iris could not. And if not, I'd like to fix it so it can :)

Why is BI exporting only part of my 1 hour video?

Well I figured out what the "Copy frames" is "Not possible for this stream" situation came from, and resolved that. I've pushed a few changes to the BVR-Player-Web app. Now the Export to MP4 panel allows you to select which video track (main or sub stream or both) you'll use for the export...

Why is BI exporting only part of my 1 hour video?

Very weird. I wonder if this is a bug in the BVR player or if it is a bug in the web browser's video encoder API. I notice "Copy frames" is "Not possible for this stream", which is puzzling to me. Which video codec does that file use? Can you share one of the affected files by chance? I can...

Why is BI exporting only part of my 1 hour video?

I am adding that to BVR-Player-Web. Thanks for letting me know.

Why is BI exporting only part of my 1 hour video?

Hmm, does it fail immediately or does it happen a while after the export started? Maybe the error message is incorrect and the failure is caused by something different. Does it happen every time you try to export this clip? There is not. I can add it later.

Why is BI exporting only part of my 1 hour video?

Last night I already I did add a simple visualization to the seek bar showing which parts of the clip have the main stream, by making the seek bar brighter in those regions. It also says which streams are there when you mouse over the seek bar. The same update also fixed issues I identified...

Why is BI exporting only part of my 1 hour video?

That is very interesting because I haven't fed in a file with those properties yet. Essentially this entire app is AI generated with me just providing the prompts and some testing. It seems like a more elegant seek bar visualization could be done which shows which sections of the clip have...

Why is BI exporting only part of my 1 hour video?

For anyone following along ... Ken delivered a BVR spec to me this afternoon, so I built a web-based player based on it. GitHub - bp2008/BVR-Player-Web: A web-based player for Blue Iris .bvr files. (none of this would have been possible on this timescale without AI !) I would be very...

Why is BI exporting only part of my 1 hour video?

Well if you have another computer handy, you could install Blue Iris 6 without a license and copy the bvr files over, open them with Blue Iris, and possibly get it to export the whole file properly. I wish "bvr" was a public format understood by anything besides Blue Iris. Maybe I could get...

Why is BI exporting only part of my 1 hour video?

But being on 5.5.7.11, they will probably just tell you to get current and try again :)

Why is BI exporting only part of my 1 hour video?

There maybe a tiny chance Blue Iris's log will have an error message. Otherwise I think you'll have to ask Blue Iris Support about this one.

    Skunk eating wasps

I don't know much about how well it performs at night. I just have videos of it following cars like the one I posted in that other thread. My installation spot isn't going to be great for judging that because of the IR glare off my soffit whenever the cam looks up at the road. And currently I...

    Skunk eating wasps

It is pretty decent. I've had it up for almost 2 weeks and no issues have come up. The manual pan/tilt controls are very responsive, better than any Dahua PTZ I've had because the video delay is so low which I believe is mostly thanks to the higher frame rate. Its zoom and autofocus are...

    Blue Iris UI3

Deleting cookies shouldn't make a difference except it might help you get a new session string from Blue Iris (not guaranteed; Blue Iris session handling is rather quirky; the logout button doesn't actually log out the session, etc). Something it might do is clear the localStorage data for UI3...

    New system suggestions

Good find @TonyR In case what was said makes no sense to the reader, it essentially means the solar+battery powered cams might technically work in Blue Iris but would suffer a long "signal loss" event every 5 minutes and you could expect the battery to go dead pretty quickly in any situation...

    New system suggestions

I searched Solar Security Camera | Reolink Solar Cameras with WiFi & 4G and have no reason to believe they support RTSP or ONVIF or anything that Blue Iris would need to pull a video stream. They're probably proprietary mobile app stuff and will operate in a sleep mode except when a low power...

    Blue Iris UI3

I can't answer that. All I can say is alerts still work for me and appear in the timeline across every system I've seen (on BI 6.1.0.0). But I do not use AI in Blue Iris so I am rather unfamiliar with its setup quirks.

    Security Cameras

Lmao. It turns out these cameras were real and I know where some of them ended up. I came across them on ebay and was curious about the decent price and "90 FPS" frame rate advertised in the product specs. Several different ebay sellers are listing these cams for around $200-$250 shipped...

Blue Iris Updates - Official Thread

You can download the update file from ipcamtalk's archive and install it manually: Blue Iris Software Updates Also, ironically UI3's new update check function still works even while Blue Iris's official method is down, because UI3 does its update check through a third party cloud server...
