Color only (no IR) cams were a thing in 2020-2022.. a stupid idea/decision that was quickly abandoned... All new cam models released in last 2 years, both by Dahua & HIK are hybrids (IR + white) or IR only but with possibility to run color mode at night (if external lighting is ok).. no one is...- steve1225

Ubiquiti released U6 Pro Bullet - with 1/1.2" 4K sensor
8MPx 1/1.2" Starvis 1 sensor is NOT 'NIR enhanced' (term from Sony materials). So in comparison to all normal sensors for CCTV cameras it have very weak IR performance. I simplified this to 'can't see IR'. All camera manufacturers used this sensors only in 'white light only' cams..- steve1225

Andy - do you have original snapshots in full resolution (4Mpx) done by camera web interface? Those images are resized and I think (not 100% sure) there are resized from small resolution (so probably secondary stream).. very soft, lack of sharpness & details everywhere... no good... -

Andy - please don't fight for firmware "custom" versions with reported fixes. Only for fixing reported bugs and issues in the general Dahua firmware. Custom versions are good for a short period of time. Dahua can prepare a special firmware version with specific modifications for a large... -

there is upper limit of it.. defined in internal firmware settings... Older TIOC-PRO firmwares allowed for more... It's a pity that it can't be edited in manual settings.. My main problem with automatic modes (and the entire AI-SSA) is that Dahua should introduce a simple, three-position... -

there is a few video comparisons of 54PRO to 54IR on main thread.. but ok, as you want I reply here... you should do video comparison with some human movement of both cameras.. best on 1/50 (1/60) or 1/100 (1/120) and gain limited to 50-60.. With 1/10 you didn't even stressed any of the cams... -

Many times I added second camera in place where I had only 1 CAT5 cable - by splitting 1,2,3,6 and 4,5,7,8 pairs into two separate plugs on both ends (always connected as 1,2,3,6).. Works like two separate CAT5 cables plugged to two separate POE switch ports - the only limitation is that... -

there are 'POE power blockers' on the market.. or some stupid cheap ethernet switches.. cutting wires in CAT5 cable don't work - POE power can be sent over the same wires (1,2,3,6) as fast ethernet data.. -

depending of NVR and firmware generation, you can have or not specific options in camera registration -> POE menu.. -

And why you want to do it like this? You can disable POE power on switch or NVR on this port... Also if you provide power to camera using camera power-in cable, it should switch to it automatically (ignore POE).. -

why you want to resize? you should use native resolution... you can try also check if third stream (which can be resized) have the same problem? -

All WizColor / AI-ISP cams have TOTALLY different video workflow comparing to older Dahua cameras.. Many settings works very different... The same was on TIOC-PRO (34PRO)... You can try to enable full WDR (with values >= 50) - it reverse some (not all) original Dahua video processing - to test... -
PoE+ power issues on ~90m Cat6 run — need advice
is the cable 23AWG? this is more important than cable is CAT5 or CAT6... You can try to use different switch, but POE++ will not solve any problem here (because camera will negotiate POE+ only).. Also POE+ and POE++ are using the same voltage... Both HIK & Dahua are offering own POE switches...- steve1225

3449 TIOC or 3449 TIOC-PRO? if TIOC-PRO (with 1/1.8" sensor), then there shouldn't be that difference.. TIOC-PRO have the same AI-ISP / always active HDR technology. Probably something was wrong configured..
