    Well, it's doing better with my neighbor's mower. It only locked onto it one time, but didn't immediately display as a human, either. I am also someone's #1 fan. I wish focus had been better and it had panned faster.

    You need to slow down. I would wait on committing to any cameras until you do more research and you need to read. You either need a camera that works for your install location, or an install location that works for your camera. Where are you wanting to capture license plates? In your driveway...

    The 12mm T54IR-ZE will have trouble throwing IR at 70'. I would go with the B54IR-Z4E suggested above. It has more IR on board and will also give you more zoom, which you will likely end up using.
