    Blue Iris UI3

Deleting cookies shouldn't make a difference except it might help you get a new session string from Blue Iris (not guaranteed; Blue Iris session handling is rather quirky; the logout button doesn't actually log out the session, etc). Something it might do is clear the localStorage data for UI3...

    New system suggestions

Good find @TonyR In case what was said makes no sense to the reader, it essentially means the solar+battery powered cams might technically work in Blue Iris but would suffer a long "signal loss" event every 5 minutes and you could expect the battery to go dead pretty quickly in any situation...

    New system suggestions

I searched Solar Security Camera | Reolink Solar Cameras with WiFi & 4G and have no reason to believe they support RTSP or ONVIF or anything that Blue Iris would need to pull a video stream. They're probably proprietary mobile app stuff and will operate in a sleep mode except when a low power...

    Blue Iris UI3

I can't answer that. All I can say is alerts still work for me and appear in the timeline across every system I've seen (on BI 6.1.0.0). But I do not use AI in Blue Iris so I am rather unfamiliar with its setup quirks.

    Security Cameras

Lmao. It turns out these cameras were real and I know where some of them ended up. I came across them on ebay and was curious about the decent price and "90 FPS" frame rate advertised in the product specs. Several different ebay sellers are listing these cams for around $200-$250 shipped...

Blue Iris Updates - Official Thread

You can download the update file from ipcamtalk's archive and install it manually: Blue Iris Software Updates Also, ironically UI3's new update check function still works even while Blue Iris's official method is down, because UI3 does its update check through a third party cloud server...

    Blue Iris UI3

Since Blue Iris still doesn't offer full-featured update checking functionality for apps/UI3 to use, I spent some time tonight to build a proxy server that can provide the update check function in lieu of an official solution. This is an unofficial solution and could break at any time, but I...

Blue Iris Keeps Panning Fully to the Right

I assume you're using Blue Iris's ONVIF mode to do the PTZ controls? You could try Onvif Device Manager. If both programs have the same issue, then it is the camera's fault. If only Blue Iris has the issue and Onvif Device Manager can control it with no problem, then it'll be Blue Iris's...

How about a brand new American-made truck for $21,500?

Yup, based on their timeline it is a long way from here to a finished product. Prices will go up. There will be delays. I hope you don't need a new truck for 5 years. Admirable goals though. I hope they can pull it off.

Recent BI6 upgrade has simply quit and disappeared?

Sounds like a virus scanner nuked it then. The BI help file recommends excluding the BlueIris.exe program, as well as the database and recording directories from virus scanners for performance reasons, and doing so would likely have prevented this from being an issue. However it is of course...

    Omada versus Ubiquiti

I've actually been running both UniFi and Omada at home for WiFi for about the last 3.5 years. At one point the user interfaces were so shockingly similar you would think they both reskinned the same base product to make them. The only Omada device I have is the TP-Link EAP660 HD (which is a...

BI v5 to v6 update guide?

I have updated UI3 about 24 times since the BI 6.0 launch (December 5, 2025). UI3's change log is on github. The Blue Iris Android app was last updated September 17, 2024 (version 3.0.46), which was over a year before BI 6.0.0.0 was released. There's no change log available for it. The Blue...

That suggests it might have been a firewall issue (HTTP port not open to remote access) or your browser was trying to connect with HTTPS for whatever reason, to a port which did not support it.

WindowsNetTool - A Swiss Army knife of Windows network configuration tools.

Ah, I see, you must have downloaded the source code the first time. I've added a prominent "Download" section to the readme near the top which links to the Releases section now. @jimbo123 Export capability for most/all of the tools will come in a near future update. That was a good idea.

The only thing in the zip file is the exe. And the exe is also listed as a separate download on GitHub. If it gets deleted unexpectedly then it is probably antivirus software getting triggered silently.

You can try Linux Distributions online!

I did have a queue of 2 but it was done very quickly. I was loading a light weight command-line only instance so it also loaded pretty fast. I also like it when demo systems are provided for various network-attached products! It has been a long time since I saw one though!

I personally use Noctua NT-H2: https://amazon.com/dp/B07MZ45X9G But this stuff is also very high-end, Thermal Grizzly Duronaut: https://amazon.com/dp/B0F3DHTPKJ You need less than half a gram of paste for one CPU and this stuff will age and dry out over the years so don't be fooled thinking...

    CPU speed fan noise fluctuation

Did you try any fan control apps? Maybe the Dell bios has some fan speed control also. Of course you probably don't want the fan to be fast all the time and you certainly don't want it too slow such that the CPU to reaches its thermal limit and starts throttling heavily because that'll wreck...

6.0.9.0 I would tell you what is new but...

I've been aware of that issue for some time, with fixes proposed to Ken since about 14 months ago when the update notification was implemented originally. What it boils down to is that all UI3 is told is that version "6.0.9.0" or whatever is available. No notice of whether installing the...
