I tried to search yesterday for latest firmware but couldnt find, it seems i have to regsiter to hik connect partner program, does it matter which country i register in, like for example if i regsiter in uk will it still be able to see license plates from other countries/continents ? -

I just bought a new camera iDS-2CD7A46G0-IZHS 8 to 32 mm FOV, the image was ok when I first installed it, as soon as I turned off digital noise reduction the image day/night got so grainy, is thats how its supposed to be ? I found a used DH-SD42C212T-HN but noticed it doesnt have built in IR, but still in specs it says it has auto ICR, that means that it will still see IR if I have IR illuminator or other IR from adjacent cameras ? -

Blue Iris + Imou Ranger 2- Setting up RTSP Sub stream.
for anyone having trouble with substream not appearing, I have imou ranger dual 6mp, in the imou config tool and imou app on pc or mobile there was no way to enable substream, just installed smartps on pc and enabled the substream from there, now it works fine -

I noticed many of the Hikvision models dont have any mention of the sensor size, and online search doesnt even mention that, why they do that ? and is there a way to find the specs ? for example these cameras they only list 5mp sensor but what exact size is it ? we have seen numerous 5mp cameras... -

I am searching for any door bell camera its not really important if it has button or chime or audio, all I need is a small camera that has rtsp stream and IR. must have either 2mpx 1/1.28 sensor or 4mpx 1/1.8 sensor, and connected using lan cable which can be powered with poe or normal dc power -

perhaps dont try to add the rtsp stream to external intercom unit, but instead add the stream to internal units like indoor touch 2 or indoor view etc.. the indoor units supports more resolutions -

Thank you that really makes sense, as far as i can conclude from my search that currently there are no affordable ir camera 8mpx with 1/1.2" sensor, so the best current option for ir camera is a 4mpx on a 1/1.8" sensor. or is there is something better yet still affordable withing $200-$300 ? -

another question please, lets say I have a camera with 8mpx with 1/1.8" sensor, so ideally that would be 4mpx, so the question is, if instead of making it work at 8mp cant i reduce the resolution from 8mpx to 4mpx then it would be same image quality as a camera with 4mpx with 1/1.8" sensor ? -
