im sure there were other changes (and hope improvements) than just some animals ?Wow, it took forever to upload the BIN files (913.1mb) to my two cameras. Now to get the ladder out and swap cameras again to test this out.
I sure hope so. It will be interesting to see if it knows the difference between deer and cats. This is from a couple nights ago on my driveway.im sure there were other changes (and hope improvements) than just some animals ?
That's with the B54IR-Z4E-S3. I just now finished swapping the B54IR-Z4E-S3 out with the B54PRO-Z4E. Here are a couple screen shots. The first is the B54IR-Z4E-S3, and the second is the B54PRO-Z4E. Daytime pics and videos from the B54PRO-Z4E are so much nicer. I hope, as I view the images tonight, that there has been an improvement in the firmware.Them are some big cats!
is that the 54Pro or the S3?
cant wait to see some night captures. That's with the B54IR-Z4E-S3. I just now finished swapping the B54IR-Z4E-S3 out with the B54PRO-Z4E. Here are a couple screen shots. In the release notes for the firmware it says: optimized features = none, fixed bugs = none; but it does support triggering alarms for cats, dogs, cattle, sheep, horses, bears, deer, birds, monkeys, elephants, lions, and tigers. Ok
if you had a Ubiquiti camera, it would say "small brown utility vehicle"Thanks @Looksee - I typically go Dahua->Products->Network Cameras->etc. ... and the Firmware is there (as a zip file) but no Release notes in that archive.
I appreciate you educating me!
P.S. And yes, those Release Notes are NOT encouraging ... and LOL @bigredfish on your disappointed there is "NO Gator Filter" ... ;-)
On a related note, I had a BobCat walk by recently - would that be a ID'd as a Cat, Tiger, or Lion?
Human, probably? BOBcat? On a related note, I had a BobCat walk by recently - would that be a ID'd as a Cat, Tiger, or Lion?

After reading this I was surprised how fast the firmware updated into my 5459-IL. The 744 MB file took about 4 minutes, and the 129 MB file was a few seconds under a minute.Wow, it took forever to upload the BIN files (913.1mb) to my two cameras.
Yes, seems to be the same. Looks like they spent a lot of time on the AI functions, so for the heck of it I decided to turn on the AI-ISP and AI-SSA and see what that does. Right off the bat, the daytime image appears to be washed out with a lack of contrast. I assume the nighttime settings will function similarly, but I'll wait until tonight to find out. (I wrote down all my settings so I can easily revert back.)The picture quality is still just as crappy as before. The sharpness still needs to be set to 15 or lower at night, otherwise the image will be grainy.
I wonder when the developer update will be released.
That sounds like progress. Dahua is really top-notch.With the new .6 firmware the -IL still lags behind the S3 for human identification. When I walk into the FOV, the S3 makes the human detection in one second or less, while the -IL makes the ID 3 to 4 seconds later. I can't compare directly with the old .4 firmware because I've only got one -IL. I tried running through the FOV. The S3 nailed me about 10% into the FOV, while the -IL didn't human detect me until halfway through. If I were 20 years younger I could have made it through without detection.
