i would like to able to view blue iris from my laptop and phone when i am away from my home .

old video - new updated app and look and feel, both app and windows icon - took awhile. and put 2 and 2 together and figured it out - Thanks Tony

Have not had much luck with ZeroTier. However, have TailScale working 100% on both a cell and tablet. Plus it is free.

If you do not have an internet connected computer one can also install the client on certain routers to access your LAN and UI3.

+1 for Tailscale. Tailscale performs better in many people's experience, and has a substantially better free service plan compared to ZeroTier, especially lately as ZeroTier has been reducing what is available to new free sign-ups in recent times.

If you won't be using the NVR, and you trust the Blue Iris machine to work, then you don't even need a new router because tailscale can run fine on the Blue Iris machine.
