DuckDuckGo browser on my phone covers the whole device for free. Or does it? Who knows. It is amazing that websites must put you through cookie notifications and let you opt out--- but Apps on PHONES can basically do whatever they want and just shove it in the fine print of their use agreement that nobody reads. Teens especially have NO CLUE the amount of data that is taken from them.
Agreed, these are not phones they are computers, very Unsafe/Unprotected computers...actually tracking devices...DuckDuckGo browser on my phone covers the whole device for free. Or does it? I use Brave browser and StartPage search...but nothing is 100% safe...DuckDuckGo browser on my phone covers the whole device for free. Or does it? Who knows. True, nothing is safe and if DDG uses Bing, it might as well be considered a tracking device. Bill's not known to do things out of the goodness of his heart - ABMM (Always Be Making Money)
Speaking of Apps, why does a Flashlight App need access to my Contact List? So many clueless people look past these things. I have very few Apps on my phone, if an App wants too much access I abandon it and find one that doesn't...Tracking in every app that has NOTHING to do with the functions of the app. I guess it is ME that is for sale.
Get DuckDuckGo and turn on App Tracking Protection....

I also have very few apps on my phone. When Statefarm changed their app to include permissions for camera, contacts, mic and other things that have nothing to with monitoring my driving, I decided not to continue. Especially, since it didn't play well with some of my apps I use for daily business. I had to remove it.Speaking of Apps, why does a Flashlight App need access to my Contact List? Same here. When I'm at home, the cell phone is off. Sometimes when I turn it on I pick up week-old text messages and/or voice mails. Many can't understand why I won't leave the tracking device on 24x7.
I actually don't use the DDG app for browsing--- only for the AppTrackingProtection.
Mine can sit "off" for a couple of weeks without the battery going down at all. I realize that's not proof that it's fully off. Just in case, one of my requirements is that any cell phone I have has an easily removable battery. This is getting harder and harder to find."I turn my phone off" Give me a break! The phones are on all the time
