Dahua WizColor COMING SOON!

I'm really looking forward to the new models. I definitely need a Vario Tioc for the garden to replace my 3849r1. If they even have an alarm, they might be better than the Tioc cameras or not?

Hate it when they keep the same model numbers as older cameras with inferior sensor size.. I mean I seen Amazon selling one that looks like the new they are calling it an S5 model but has the 1/2.8in sensor even though it has the top mounted red/blue leds. How is anyone supposed to know they are getting what they want if it looks the same? Geez..

Base TIOC cams are always using 1/2.8" sensor... And Dahua is refreshing this line every one/two years (now -S5 version)..

Only TIOC-PRO with -PRO suffix have 1/1.8" sensor..

there are not newer/older models here.. simply two different lines.. one based on another (PRO version of another)..

Hi. I currently have 5442T-ZE (non S3) and 5231R-Z turret varifocal cameras. The 5442 is in the front of the house, with the 5231's everywhere else (sides/back).

I was planning to replace every camera with the T54IR-ZE-S3 this month, and add one more in the front. Was actually going to start last week but then saw this thread.

I go back and forth every day on whether I should continue with the plan or just wait for you guys to review the new 5449-ZE-PV-PRO turret varifocal being discussed here?

Thoughts?

Thinking I should just wait ...

Note: All on Synology Surveillence Station NAS

I also plan to replace several cameras. I will also wait for the new ones.

Anyway love to try new things lol so upgraded to new FW, now gives Stay Detection and Loitering Detection as IVS rules that can be added, before only tripwire and intrusion was offered. Looking at update details says this as well and some other things not sure I understand yet.

Edit: Something is different in email as well. I can't setup email as normal TLS I have to use SSL to get it to work with my email server oddly.. All my other Dahua cameras are using TLS just fine.. So either using older no longer supported format or a newer one that isn't being used by my Email server..

If you disable AcuPick, you have also access to Long Distance Mode / Large AI Model (new name) on TIOC-PRO...
the same as on WIzMind-S 5442-S3..

Do you know how far the long ivs mode is?

on WizMind-S with proper zoom it can works for 100m+ distances at day...

Normally in past on all AI cams were used 'diluted' AI models.. dilution allows to shrink proper big AI model to small size and small AI power requirements (0.25 - 1 TOPS) at a big cost of accuracy.

Dilutions allowed to put / run many AI models at once on small SOC chips in cams / NVRs - like SMD + IVS + AcuPick 1.0/2.0 (small Video Meta Data) + AI SSA + AI video processing...

Long distance mode is different name for Large AI model - where is used ONE bigger not diluted (or diluted to bigger size) AI model with much bigger accuracy.

Don't look like Dahua, more like HIK-Vision.
Totally new LED diffuser - like in ColorVu 3.0 cams..

Andy please check how the zoom works - what is real range?
Previous FullColor 5449-ZE with F1.0 was more like 2x optical zoom only (much shorter zoom comparing to 5442-ZE).

Does it have bad / good Depth of Field (DoF) at min and max zoom level?
And how IR / white light works - is uniform and strong?
Does it have far/near (narrow/wide) IR settings?

Yes, i will check it later when i get it.

..and vs 4kt. Might as well throw all the 3 main low light cameras in there if possible to see the advantages / disadvanatges of each.

From Dahua Poland
The biggest features (by Dahua) are:
- WizColor Technology (better/brighter/color-full image at night with always on HDR) and
- Large-Scale AI Models (much better IVS performance and less false positives)

it looks like turret size (very big model with 4 LEDs and dual mic& speaker) will be the same for fixed lens and varifocal models.. but bullet will be different (much smaller for fixed lens)..

Just get the sample and make some fast testing, here are some pics for indoor, for outdoor testing we will do next week.
The 5442 have stronger IR. 5449 a little weaker, because of the 5449 have 2 white LED and 2 IR. Daytime pic the 5449 one is bit good. We will have more details review nexxt week for day and night pics compare.

Later when i get more samples i will send more guys here for playing. :)

That’s odd as my new TIOC is significantly better than my 5442 (s3 variant) at low light. This seems to be worse and makes this whole new lineup worthless to me.
everything is at default, will have a further review video soon. What is your tIOC model? IPC-Color4M-T Pro? Attention this is the 12mm view not 2.8mm or 3.6mm view.
Will put the video later when i get it to US.
