LOL.... Now I wonder.... Since in order to view the metadata of the camera you would need to log into unifi protect... Who would actually use the camera standalone? Since the camera is 4K... 128 gigs would only give you a few days max of recording. Makes sense to have a UNVR or some sort... -

Is there any reason to go analog?
Is there any really currently at this day and age to go analog using siamese cable with DVR? I guess it could be said that in you can go farther distances and less latency. Cheaper cameras but more expensive cabling. DVR's can't handle the higher FPS that the camera is able to output at...- lewic

It depend on what the resolution is on the cameras. If it is set to 1440 then you can have two per AI Port. If it is set to 1520 then it rounds it up to 4K meaning only one per AI Port. So for it to qualify as 2K it needs to be the 2560 x 1440. 2688 x 1520 will be classified as "4K" even... -
