    system performance on new computer

I think the old G2 was also a T, I may have left that off. I dunno, I can't boot it up and pull its config and HP's support site won't give me the specs on a 10 year old system :D According to passmark (yeah, I know, its a joke), the new CPU is about 40% 'faster' than the old one. its got...

    system performance on new computer

the "HDD" on this thing is a NVMe SSD (512GB Samsung PM981a), but as I was doing before, all my BI videos are stored on my NAS which is using ZFS with 4 16TB 7200rpm enterprise nearline storage drives (not SMR!). it was way plenty fast enough with the older system. anyways, getting BI running...

hmmm, i should be able to start the BlueIris Service from the Windows Service Manager, right? It starts and stops without any explanations, i'm not sure where to look for logs. I created a User and set its password and set the service to use that user. (edit) ok, I added the service User...

    Kiosk mode?

I just reinstalled BI on a newer PC (a HP EliteDesk Mini G6) as my old one died. This one has win11 Pro installed, and I'd like to use Kiosk mode(*), but I guess thats only supported for UWP apps, which BI isn't. I can't use the ShellLauncher as I have Windows Pro, not Enterprise. *)...

    IP address setup

OH. there it is. silly me. and yes, that fixed it. minor annoyance, the local port has to be the same as the NAT port, so I can't have (wan):8881 forward to (lan):81 but thats not actually a big deal

    IP address setup

I'm trying to edit the IP address on the Settings / Web server tab, and its insisting my BI host is 192.168.0.204, except its not, it is 192.168.0.93, it simply won't let me edit the IP address on 'Enable the HTTP Server on port: ... I'm running 6.0.1.x (updating to 6.0.1.13 right now)... ok...
