    Couldn't wait till the weekend so just had a look, turns out that at some stage I must have been "playing around", technical term, with Hardware Acceleration on some of the cams and had it enabled and set to Intel+VPP on a few of my older cams.     Gotta agree, not that intuitive but I suppose we've just become used to going to Alerts, swiping down and then entering a cam name, this does eliminate the need to enter the cam name but the beauty of the old method was that I have cams called Drv1 and Drv2 so entering Drv would show the Alerts...

    On my test system I’ve noticed that with the last 2 releases of BI the CPU usage has gone up, is normally 25-35% on my system but after 23 hours of running it’s sitting at 60% Anybody else notice this?

    Configure cams to alert only after dark or when we are not home

    Thinking about this this would be quite difficult to do as I'd still want an alert if for example a person was in the garden during the day when we are all home. AI facial recognition anyone, that would do it, know a face record but cancel the Alert :) I remember looking at this ages ago...

    My garden cams are currently set to trigger using ONVIF, they use AI to confirm the trigger for person, cat, dog and birds, don't ask, the wife likes to watch what the wildlife is doing.     Just to add I’m sure I read about somebody using the windows built in feature to span disks and then use the resulting space in BI. Windows will just allocate it a drive letter which you can then configure in BI.

    I e not really kept up with spanned or storage space so don’t know if it’s any diff these days but in the old days if you lost a single disk in that config you lost the lot. Why not just add and allocate each disk to BI as individual disks and then config your cams to record to the various...

    I've also been tryng I've also been trying to battle this same error: h264_qsv setup failed: 483 for 'streaming 0' check hardware compatibility. I too had a look but couldn't find this setting within Web Streaming, so many thanks, here's hoping it get rid of this message :)
