    For me Defender is flagging the temp file BlueIris.exe that gets extracted from the downloaded updates files as being infected with Trojan:Win32/Sabsik.FL.A!ml I have Smart App disabled.

    Simplest way to think of it is their servers act as a middle man effectively, so you talk to their servers and it redirects those requests to the client running on your PC which is also connected to their server. As the comms are peer to peer there's no need for any form of port forwarding.

    If the switch has POE it will have a P in the model number. Assuming that it does have a P then does this not sound like a faulty switch? Try plugging a laptop into it and see if the lights on the "faulty" switch actually light up?
