Good simple util called Recuva that can be used to get some of the clip files back that you may have lost over the last day. Make to recover the files to another drive and not onto the same drive, then copy over the files and run a reindex.- IAmATeaf

Contemplating Blue Iris and have a question about PC location
You can put the BI PC anywhere provided you can or have a cable back to the POE switch. I run my BI PC with dual Ethernet cards and headless, PC is in the attic, my POE switch is also on the attic I then have Ethernet cable running from the PC to my my home network. -
Has it been slow here lately?
It’s because everybody is busy hitting F5 waiting for BI6 -

I’ve just taken a look at their website and have to admit it does look very much like those sites that offer a crap product but then offer insane discount deals if you buy now. I couldn’t really find any info on their VPN and locations that they offer or the specs on their router? Still... -

What was the idea behind the new router? Does this router perform routing as without that you’ll have a hard time if you are going to keep devices on your “home network”? -
No Email Notification
I’ve just yesterday setup another gmail address as the sending email which now sends to another gmail address and it’s all working and I can now see new emails in the inbox. Pity I need to use one to send to another but as I said it’s just a quirk of gmail minimising duplicate emails/data. -

Did some more reading and from what I’ve read this is happening as I’m effectively sending an email to myself. Gmail is realising that I’ve sent the email to myself so doesn’t tag the email as a new email and also doesn’t show it in sent items hence the only place it can be seen is All Mail... -

Arggghhh it’s still happening, the mail is visible in the inbox for a few hours and then seems to be moved to the All Mail folder even though it’s not been read. Looks like I’ll be doing lots of googling today hoping I find the cause but at least I now know where to look for these emails. -

I think I might have figured out what is going on with my email alerts. Took a lot of digging into and some by chance what the hell moments. So this morning I checked my phone and had emails for both my daughter and son leaving the house to go to work, fine I thought. Checked a few hours later... -

I send to the same gmail account, so effectively sending to the same account. Could that be an issue or problem with doing that?
