So you are implying that he turned off the jammer after you walked around with the scanner, like he was covering his tracks? How would he know that is what you were doing? Could he observe you with the scanner? Could he tell that it was a scanner?

Yes, I believe he turned off his device after seeing me walk around with a handheld device pointing it up and down and in different directions in the front and side of our property.

I don't know if he knew it was a scanner, but if it were me and I saw that behavior, I would surely wouldn't take chances and scale things back at least temporarily.

Thanks for posting that information. While that meter is not likely very accurate for absolute values it could certainly be used to take "relative" measurements.
Going from 5mw to 5 Watts is a huge change. For interest sake have you used it near your microwave oven while running? I think the standard is less than 5mw leakage max.

I'll agree that it's likely not too accurate, but it does give a good idea what is out there and it was cheap enough for monitoring. I wasn't about to spend hundreds or thousands just get an idea, and it then sit here not being used

Have not tried the microwave yet. It's on my list

Been thinking that. I have 2 NVRs. I'll need to make something custom for the space available. See a lot of DIY cages, but I wonder how well they work
