I'm waiting for Andy to say its the best model everBro, but it has Xinghan Vision built in!

Right now he has one -ZE and one 2.8mm fixed focal. Hurry, only 1 left of each! Now we can have 2 more -IL testers
Sounds like Andy - Hurry! Hurry! HURRY! Before the price goes up yet again....Right now he has one -ZE and one 2.8mm fixed focal. Hurry, only 1 left of each! Now we can have 2 more -IL testers
Yep, be quick, $300 coming next...just as soon as they find another excuse to pump them upSounds like Andy - Hurry! Hurry! HURRY! Before the price goes up yet again....
Since I bought three of the Pro model that I will ultimately be selling on now, Dahua or Andy can feel free to send me one of these for testing...in the meantime I will go buy a lottery ticket
- My pay to pray beta testing days are long behind me.I cam totally new here and came across this thread , so i am planning 4-5 outdoor cameras to be placed at roughly 8-10ft high, I am talking to any he suggested 54ir ot color4k-t but i was wondering how will these new -il models hold up considering there might be little to no ambient light at night where these will be placed any help is appreciated @wittaj @Arjun
Ah ok, is the motion blur fixable from your experience ?Because i ws prefering dual light as it might produce better resultsAs of right now, the 54IR is the best one with IR and the 4K-T for color. Keep in mind the 4K-T you have to be willing to use the onboard white lights or have a ton of light.
The new IL models produce a brighter static image in lower light conditions, but motion is blurry.

Shouldn't cost more than $199 topsYep, be quick, $300 coming next...just as soon as they find another excuse to pump them up
Knowing what I know now I just would not entertain one again, hence why mine will be leaving soon. The lights are great, speaker and mic also great, daytime footage can also be great, nighttime is terrible no matter colour or IR. Max price should be $175 or less frankly.Shouldn't cost more than $199 tops
The 5442 Varifocal was $175
The DRAM shortage and AI Bullshit is such a lame excuse - prices have been stabilizing at Microcenter
When I saw the price of the -IL being $259 yesterday, I was sticker-shocked. I really pray that Ubiquiti considers incorporating settings for controlling shutter speed / exposure so that I can move away from all of these Chinese companies once and for all due to unstable pricing. Like you said, there is no accountability. For now, I don't really need any new cameras, but I know some friends and family that will like to upgrade, but now I am hesitant to recommend these Dahua cameras mainly due to price. It sucks that the 5442 cameras are reached EOL. I can't even sell any more of my own used cameras due to the lack of better cameras available from Dahua. Going all out Ubiquiti is not something I ever considered and I certainly hope it does not go to that extent. I have already started recommending the Ubiquiti Starter Kit for $699 to colleagues, friends, and family after they were hesitant to consider other alternatives to the 5442 model. This really affects Andy's business and also signals parting away from the forum as it is heavily driven by his sales; very rarely do I see new discussions on Hikvision and Ubiquiti here.Knowing what I know now I just would not entertain one again, hence why mine will be leaving soon. Certainly this DRAM excuse is pushing boundries, OK, let's cut them some slack and say a small increase in costs, but not a 30-35% increase in retail price. I was actually giving this some thought the other day when I almost fell off my chair at the latest prices on Andy's site, maybe the S3 and 4K series have been a bit of a bargain these last few years, are the prices we see now actually still reasonable, probably they are (excluding the Pro!) to be fair. What annoys me is the lack of ownership for either faults or price increases, just be honest and say the prices will be rising. Also no need to ramp them right up, stages softens the blow, and less of the weak reasoning that some smart people might just see through! We had Covid, then wartime, then middle east and of course the DRAM price fixing. No that motherboard sales are down 50% for Asus and others, interesting to see how things might change, if at all for RAM prices, but I digress.
