An updated iOS version was released today and with the exception of a new color scheme and some new icons in the log file I don't see any other improvements which is disappointing to say the least. Anybody see anything else new?

Mostly hidden stuff to satisfy .gov requirements:

  • It now tracks whether you sit or stand at the toilet
  • records your snoring patterns for the NSA
  • new experimental animal brainwashing tactics deployed to get your Cat to turn on you

I downloaded this update over the weekend and apart from the changed colour schemes and some rounded off areas with the new see through background didn’t notice much else

The new version looks incompatible with BlueIris 5.9.9 somewhat as clicking alerts doesn't load.
My iPad just upgraded itself to the new version and my old version Blue Iris won't even load. An easy fix was just to use the Safari browser. I have both PC and Mac's.

Pretty colors - that's all American consumers chase after now. Thanks Apple for exposing what Americans are vulnerable to :lmao:

The latest iOS app (2.0.8.01) adds a new timeline feature, which makes scrubbing through videos much easier.

Just emailed this to Ken...

The new iPadOS is crashing when I open the Camera page. I did try restarting the iPad (no change). Then uninstalling/installing the app. It worked for a while after reinstalling, but eventually started crashing again. The app starts just fine on the Home page

May I suggest a user setting to disable the timeline tap-hold gestures? On the iPad, I prefer the pinch gestures, as the tap gestures are interrupting my flow.

New update. My crashing issue is resolved.

Also learned how to share crash reports from iOS...
  1. Open the Analytics & Improvements section of Settings on the device. See Share analytics, diagnostics, and usage information with Apple.
  2. Tap Analytics Data.
  3. Locate the log for your app. The log name starts with <AppBinaryName><DateTime> for crash reports, or JetsamEvent<DateTime> for high-memory use crashes.
  4. Select the desired log.
  5. Tap the Share icon, and select Mail to send the crash report as a mail attachment.

Today I just noticed that the iOS app search control on the Alerts page is now labeled 'Memo search', and no longer allows for the filtering of alerts for a single camera.

I emailed Ken that really missed that capability. His reply follows:

"Please find camera search is just selecting the camera on the camera tab and then switch to the alerts tab. So much easier and intuitive"

I tested this and it indeed works. But I wouldn't call this 2-step process "intuitive".
