Hey guys, I'm Scott in Virginia. extremely new to IP cams. I'm a tinkerer, artist, and a maker. Bought a Cobra system from Hazard Fraught a few years ago from my mom, and they worked well for a while, but eventually the camera connections outside got wet. So now I'm trying to learn how to make the proper repairs to the connections, or eventually get her a totally different system. I'll be browsing around for a bit. Thanks for having me.

Welcome @kursed

Hopefully you'll find a lot of anwsers here with only a few curses

Hazard Fraught Cobra, the coax or PoE version ? ( Harbor Freight Cobra )

Feel free to share pictures of the connectors.

PoE versions, I'll start a dedicated thread in case I can find something that might help others fix their systems. I'm really ticked off that HF stopped selling these systems and no longer offers support for them. Darn system is only two years old and you can't buy replacement parts direct from them anymore or get service.

Are the connections is a junction box or ???

You can clean the Ethenet connections with deoxitD5 and once they test OK again, weather proof as noted below with dielectric grease, self-vulcanizing rubber tape or CoaxSeal and lastly, tight wrap with 3M 33+ tape:

I started a dedicated thread to the system in the IP Cam section here: LINK to my thread
