Trump to sign emergency order to get TSA agents paid — bypassing Congress in DHS shutdown fight
The New York Post ^ | 03/26/2026 | Emily Gooding

President Trump announced on Thursday he will sign an emergency order to pay TSA agents and hopefully relieve congestion at the nation’s largest airports.

*** “Because the Democrats have recklessly created a true National Crisis, I am using my authorities under the Law to protect our Great Country, as I always will do!” Trump said. “I am going to sign an Order instructing the Secretary of Homeland Security, Markwayne Mullin, to immediately pay our TSA Agents in order to address this Emergency Situation, and to quickly stop the Democrat Chaos at the Airports. It is not an easy thing to do, but I am going to do it!,” he wrote.

His announcement came as Republicans and Democrats struggle to fund the department and as Transportation Security Administration employees faced a second month without a paycheck.

Under the National Emergency Act, the president could order unspent government funds to be used to temporarily pay TSA employees — a move that would bypass Congress.

Republicans have the majority in the Senate but lack the 60 votes needed to advance DHS funding in the legislative process. Democrats have blocked funding for the department for the past month while trying to tighten rules on immigration enforcement tactics.***

Bombshell Report: US Intel Finds Ukrainian Messages Detailing Plot to Swing Election Toward Biden
https://www.westernjournal.com/ ^ | March 26, 2026 | Joe Saunders

Even while faced with a Russian invasion of their nation, some elements in the Ukrainian government were plotting to help the Biden re-election campaign — with U.S. taxpayer money.

That was the gist of an explosive article Thursday from the Washington-based website Just the News, citing a declassified intelligence report.

And Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard is reportedly on the case.

The Just the News report was authored by website founder John Solomon, a veteran, highly respected D.C. journalist, and Just the News chief investigative correspondent Jeff Dunleavy.

It claimed that U.S. intelligence intercepts had revealed that personnel in the U.S. Agency for International Development, or USAID, and the Ukrainian government discussed a plan in late 2022 to redirect “hundreds of millions” of American taxpayer money from a “clean energy” project in Ukraine back to the United States — and into the coffers of then-President Joe Biden’s re-election bid.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine began in February 2022, meaning the discussions were taking place only months after the carnage had begun unfolding.

What wasn’t clear was whether anything actually came of the plotting, or whether it stalled in the discussion stage.

However, the Biden administration showed a “lack of curiosity to investigate such an explosive allegation of foreign interference in a U.S. election,” Just the News reported, citing “officials who have reviewed the files.”

Gabbard, however, is asking USAID to “scour for records to see if the plot actually was carried out and whether a criminal referral should be made to the FBI,” Just the News reported.

Reactions: Sybertiger

She did better than my neighbor. His car had a flat in his own driveway, called someone to put the spare on, dude shows up and pulls the tire change tools from the truck of said flat tire car and puts on the donut spare in 5 mins. Probably charged him $100. SMH.

I'm not defending this at all. It's unfortunately normal practice for both parties to take hostages for political leverage. Nothing new here with Trump. If I had my way, every bill would be required to be for a single thing, no more bundling things the people don't want with what they need.

In the Oregon legislature they (i.e. the democrats) do 3 particular shady things.

1) Emergency clause. New laws take effect the next January 1 unless they're declared to be an emergency, which makes them effective immediately upon the governor signature. Most bills are declared to be an emergency.
2) Gut and stuff. The text and title of a newly introduced bill will sound good and/or harmless. It goes through some committee hearings and a public hearing. Right after the public hearing it's text is totally replaced by amendment with something very different , then quickly voted on.
3) Sabotaging ballot measures. Any bill that's passed is able to be overturned by a ballot measure that requires a certain large number of voter signatures to qualify for a statewide election. The legislature and governor use seedy tricks to narrow the window to gather signatures. In a current case, they delayed passing a bill to cause opposition arguments in the voter pamphlet to miss the submission deadline.

All the listed countries and regions are apparently so much more advanced than the USA which must be some remote colony.
