Recommendation for Empire Tech 2-way Full Frigate Support?

I'm adding two (for now) cameras to my house -- one at the front door and one in my backyard on the 2nd floor roof looking down to my deck and sunroom entrance. For the front I'd like 2-way talk and I'd like color. I'm THINKING we'd want variable focal so that we have the flexibility of moving these later to different locations, etc. Just a nice to have thing.

I'm currently thinking at least the 4MP sensor. The 8MP doesn't seem to come in a 2-way audio model. I'm currently eyeing the IPC-T54PRO-ZE for the front door. It has average coach lights and there are garage lights (L-shape to one side so decent, but not amazing light).

Color would be great, especially for WAF. In late 2025 there was some talk of this model not being quite ready for prime-time. Has that been addressed? If not what model should I be looking for instead, and I'm thinking a non-2-way version of whatever that is for the back yard.

Yep, the PRO is still not ready for prime time.

Maybe the 4M-T at the front door since you have lights and the 54IR series for cameras not needing two-way.

Do keep in mind two-way sounds nice, but they operate more like walkie-talkie. They are good for a quick "get off my lawn" or play a recorded audio, but to have any conversation is tough.

Thanks. I suspect there might be a use here and there, but I get the point. If I didn't go for 2-way, how would that change your recommendation?

I agree with Wittaj's recommendation. The 4M-T would be the wisest choice. I have replaced my 54IR's with 4M-T's, and while my T54Pro might make a good door stop, it pales in comparison to the 4M-T and 54IR.

The 54IR series is still the best overall camera. But if two-way talk is a requirement, then the 4M-T would be the next choice.
