Help With reboot the Cam

Hi everyone,


I’m trying to reboot a camera via SSH, but the device is running a restricted PSH shell where only specific commands are allowed.


Standard commands don’t work, and I’ve noticed some custom commands like appCmd and camCmd, but there’s no documentation available for them.


Has anyone worked with a similar environment or knows how to properly reboot the device in this case? Any tips or known commands would really help.

Hilvision Cameras – All models are available.

Please note that we aim to automate this workflow via SSH using the PSH shell, taking into account its command limitations and restricted execution environment

We Have 300+ POE its so not good idea at all we wanna automate the flow via SSH

I see your point but which “home” are you referring to? We’re managing around 5,000 cameras, so the approach needs to scale properly. I’m not sure the initial idea is practical in this context. Option three might be a better fit, but that could introduce risks or complications on my end. what u think now

Are the PoE switches managed versions?
If so - the switch command line access should allow disable / enable of a specified port, which will power-cycle the connected camera.
