Is the regime in Iran soon to be toast?

UPDATE, THE IRAN WAR JUST HIT A NEW LEVEL:

The situation changed dramatically in the last few hours. Read every line.

– Iran fired a ballistic missile at NATO's Incirlik Air Base in Turkey — where 50 U.S. NUCLEAR BOMBS are stored Me: unconfirmed who fired them.

– Sirens went off. Explosions heard in surrounding towns. Video shows the missile flying directly over the base

– The Pentagon admitted to Congress they "significantly underestimated" Iran's willingness to close the Strait of Hormuz

– 20% of the world's oil flows through that strait. They didn't plan for this.

– CBS says a U.S. helicopter fired 2 Hellfire missiles at an Iranian vessel near the USS Abraham Lincoln

– Iran's IRGC says the Lincoln took "severe damage" from missiles and drones. No denial from the Pentagon yet.

– A U.S. KC-135 Stratotanker crashed in western Iraq after a mid-air collision. Photos show tail damage at Ben Gurion Airport. Me; the 2nd KV-135 landed. First is missing

– 50 people injured in northern Israel after combined Hezbollah rockets and Iranian ballistic missiles hit simultaneously

– The IEA just announced the largest emergency oil release in history — 400 million barrels over 4 months

– The U.S. is dumping 172 million barrels from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. Reserves now at their lowest since the 1980s.

– Israel and the U.S. struck Iranian oil infrastructure for the FIRST TIME. Oil spilled into Tehran streets and caught fire in the sewers.

– Iran struck two civilian vessels off the coast of Iraq with unmanned surface drones

Two Trump cabinet members rushed to buy survival bunkers the moment the war started - Unconfirmed

– India's PM Modi called Iran's president. When nuclear powers start making those calls, the war has gone global.

This is no longer a contained operation. NATO is being dragged in. Oil reserves are being drained at record speed. And nobody planned for how far Iran was willing to go.

Those ballistics missiles were intercepted

Remember the Iranian people have already been disarmed ...

SO, the question should be
"Can this Iranian president move this freely among the Iranian public if they were armed like their neighbors in Iraq?"

BACKCHANNEL TALKS TO REOPEN HORMUZ STRUGGLE TO GAIN TRACTION

Backchannel talks with Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz have begun but are unlikely to succeed, according to people familiar with the discussions cited by Bloomberg.

Mediation efforts are being led by Saudi Arabia, Oman and Turkey, with support from European nations including France. Qatar has stepped back after repeated attacks from Tehran.

Officials say statements from Iran’s supreme leader signaling the strait will remain closed suggest diplomatic outreach is failing.

I hardly think that matters
In a city of 9 million people if they were more angry at their government than the people bombing them he wouldn’t be able to do it

Also Iranian Foreign Minister press release has asked Indian foreign minister to condemn US/ Israel strikes as part of BRICS joint statement. India being the chair this year. Where as the Indian foreign minister statement fails to mention any discussion about the joint statement.

Iran hasn't allowed ships heading to India. So if they are unwilling to allow a BRICS nation vessel. There is no way they will open the straits. So this a desperate attempt by them to get their ships through.

They also today offered condolences to killing of Iran school children. Even some NATO countries did that like a week before India.

Opinion I happen to agree with
--------------

Iran has NO intention of winning militarily. None.

They figured out something far more dangerous:
– The US burns over a $1 BILLION every single day this war continues
– The stock market has lost Hundreds of $Billions since this started and its getting much worse
– Recession probability just spiked by 50% (by some measurements we're already there)
- Support for the "Not War" is low and going down from there

Iran is TAUNTING Trump to keep attacking. Not because they can win — because every day he does, America bleeds money and loses more support.

Think about that for a second. A country with a fraction of America's military budget found the one weakness no amount of firepower can fix:
The US economy can't afford an endless war.

And Iran knows it.
