Hello everyone,

I’m using a Dahua DH-IPC-HDW2449T-ZS-IL camera in a strong backlighting environment. I’ve enabled WDR mode, but I’m facing an issue where the image becomes blurry, especially when there is movement.

Here are the settings I’ve tried so far:

  • WDR: Enabled
  • Shutter speed: 1/120
  • Also tested 1/250, but the blur problem still remains
It looks like WDR is affecting image sharpness in this lighting condition. Has anyone experienced a similar issue with this model or Dahua cameras in general?

Yes WDR impacts the image quality with movement because of the way WDR works. It is why we try to not use it or keep the number as low as possible.

Most of us will try adjusting every setting to mitigate the light, but if WDR is used, we keep the number low.

what are your DNR settings?

Also try H.264.h
8192 bitrate
CBR
General codec
