Version 6.0.1.13. After downloading this version I am seeing this error:
level time object message
1 1/8/2026 3:35:14.088 PM AI Initialization failed: ONNX Runtime error: Load model from C:\BlueIris\AI\models\ failed:Load model C:\BlueIris\AI\models\ fail

Appearing over and over in the log. I have tried reinstalling the models for the built-in AI and restarting the computer but that didn't fix it. This was not occuring in the older version 6.0.1.8 I was running.

Anybody else seeing this error? Is there a fix?

Just upgraded from v5 to v6.0.1.13 today.. deleted code project and let BI's AI install.. same issue here. this log followed by an alert canceled nothing found.. This is my initial test of AI in BI v6.., just confirming that I'm in the same boat. Haven't saw an AI alert yet in v6.

I have multiple instances of BI. I upgraded 3 of 6 to v6 and this error happened on two of them. Reinstalling AImodelpack.exe made it go away. One of the two I had to reinstall 3 times before it finally went away.

Is it possible that your AV software was interfering with the install of AImodelpack.exe?

Sorry perhaps I should have been a bit clearer; AV = Antivirus Software (Windows Defender, Norton, BitDefender or what ever you favorite is) I worked in IT for many years and that is how it was referenced, even a quick google search recognizes the term!

Gotcha. I have used the term AV primarily when referencing "audio/visual".

In my case, Windows Defender did not seem to be the issue as simply reinstalling fixed the issue.

Thanks.

Okay, in Settings/AI I tried switching from the yolov8s model to the yolov8m model and the errors stopped. I then switched back to the yolov8s and the errors remained stopped.. I then restarted the BlueIris service to see if the errors would return but they did not. It is running fine so far and not generating the initialization error.

So, anybody having this error ... try switching the AI model and tell us if it works for you.
