My front yard is very poorly lit, by design. I have 3 lamps that are about 7W each - enough to be seen if creeping around, low enough power usage to help keep the bill low. I do not plan on adding brighter bulbs.

I have an older PTZ that I'm moving to the rear.

I want a PTZ on the front for the ability to move around, and I want a stationary camera for the clear reading of plates, night and day but also be able to see the car/person as well. I know there's no camera that excels at both but would like a happy medium.

For PTZ: IPTZ3E405-AI -- I cant' find any video reviews. -- Looks like it will auto track people?
For Stationary: IPC-T54PRO-ZE -- I had this one recommended to me by @bigredfish -- I would mount this in the soffit.

I don't recall recommending the T54PRO-ZE?

If so I apologize.
I don't recommend the 54PRO series at all currently.

As far as reading plates and seeing people and cars, at night? Not gonna happen in all but the most perfect well lit scenes.

This is what you will see getting car plates. It takes a dedicated camera just for that

It was awhile ago.
It was more for a better night IR, I know it won't be crystal clear on the plates and maybe that won't matter as much... Faces would be more important I suppose than a plate?

Again my apologies. I had just 2 days before got my hands on one and like many, believed the hype.

It IS brighter. In IR and Daytime.

However the image problems (softness, blur and noise at night color OR IR) make it a poor choice for almost any scene unless you have a TON of white light. And I mean a fucking TON
