I have two Amcrest IP8M-T2599EW on one I can read license plates and not on the other while on BlueIris. I can read them on both cameras on the Amcrest UI on my laptop, Which setting do i need to fix on BlueIris.
thank you,

check to see if they are both setup properly with main stream and sub stream, could be the one camera is only connected to the sub stream in BI

You can try re-running "find/inspect" and see what Blue iris Detects, rather than choosing a make or model.
This camera happens to be a IP5M-1179EW so it could a difference in firmware.
Like " Main and Sub" menu boxes don't always display what mine are showing.
maybe try another Amcrest model #
you could use the same string of values in the Substream box to prevent it from displaying substreams in degraded quality on the screen.
or check inside the camera to see where your settings are.

I thought that we should be using H264 rather than H265, is that no longer the case?

I'm a tinkerer. I have a couple cams on 265 just, because...
Perhaps its my oppositional defiance disorder.
I have enough hardware horsepower to process h265 with the Nvidia 1070Ti and /or the intel UHD 630 chipset and 6 core 12 thread processor.
I like to see how the CPU % changes with different settings.
taking 2 cams to h265 and moving them to Nvidia hardware decode dropped CPU usage from 14-15% to 10-11%.
just watching how the images look on events.

Cam #1 in that box is normal. That feature is for logging into the IP address of an NVR where you have multiple cams coming from 1 IP address.
