I would like to install a PTZ ip camera on my RV roof to capture images and videos while driving (by co-pilot of course). minimum 4K and 30FPS.

I have looked at Reolink and Eufy solar powered cameras, but I am not sure this is the direction to go. I don’t need AI recognition and tracking etc.

Any ideas or hints where to look for solutions?

There is no way I would use a PTZ camera for this. Using several regular cameras - one oriented in each desired direction - would be much better than a single PTZ camera in this use case.

First, you would have to mount the PTZ camera pretty high above the roof if you expected to "see" in all four directions without the roof physically blocking the camera's view. By using different cameras for each view, they could be mounted right on the edge of the roof or on the side of the vehicle, and not have to worry about the roof obstructing any of the view.

Second, not only does someone need to control the PTZ camera, they generally aren't super fast when they move. I would be afraid that by the time you move the cameras from one orientation to another, a lot of negative things might have occurred.

I figured as much. 2-4 fixed cameras in different directions, preferably with optical zoom. Controlling from the car over the wlan is a requirement. Can you think of camera that would apply? min 4K 30fps
