One of my B52IR-Z12B LPR cameras is resetting. When it switches from Day to Night, it goes offline and comes back on a minute or two later in day mode, but switches back to night again and repeats the cycle. I purchased it in the first quarter of 2025, is it still under warranty?

Not answering your direct question, just make sure the switch port isn't shutting down when the load of the IR lights comes on. Been there, done that.

I would ask Andy, I would think so, but have you tried to troubleshoot?

Not yet. It just started happening. I did try connecting the camera to a POE switch and directly to the computer taking the NVR out of the loop, but while Advanced IP scanner can find it, I cannot connect to it. It just keeps saying "login failed"

Connecting directly to your computer wont work

I've always been able to

I was always able to do a direct connection between laptop and camera. I just had to make sure the computer was in the same IP subset as the camera

I thought you meant directly as in cat5 cable from laptop to camera. No power to camera

I am also observing that when it reboots and comes back online, the exposure is quite bright and when it switches to night mode, the image becomes blown out, freezes and it goes offline again

I checked the time plan settings I wrote down for the LPR cameras, and they are all set to around 19:15, yet this camera started switching over to night mode at 18:31. This is the same camera that in the past would briefly switch to BW sporadically and then back to color during the day. I posted the issue somewhere on the forum

Have you tried sitting back to factory defaults and see if that helps?
I cannot connect to the camera - it keeps reboot looping. I don't have the time at the moment to take it down and to a reset from the reset button and I don't know if that would work anyway since it is in an infinite loop

Is there an SD card in it? It can do that if the card is failing.

Did you use dielectric grease for outside connection?

Yes have take it down and try to do a hard reset, if not work maybe board have some problem or software crashed, need a warranty or a serial port flash.

I believe there is a 512 GB SD card in it and yes, I did use Dialectric grease on the RJ45 connector

We are under a tropical storm (Imelda?) watch presently, so I will take it down as soon as the weather is safe to do so
