Lets trace it back to its socialist roots...

Medicare was put into motion by the Democratic Party.

It was signed into law on July 30, 1965, by President Lyndon B. Johnson, a Democrat, as part of his "Great Society" initiative. The legislation was championed by Johnson and strongly supported by Democrats in Congress. Former President Harry S. Truman (also a Democrat) was given the very first Medicare card at the signing ceremony, symbolizing that the program fulfilled a vision he had first proposed in the late 1940s.

Republicans at the time were generally opposed to the creation of Medicare, though some did support it once it was clear the bill would pass. The core idea, however, was advanced and enacted under Democratic leadership.

I was under the impression that most Republicans are now not opposed to Medicare? I assumed incorrectly?

What do they need to trace? Are they saying it's not the grandfather's and it was supplied by co-conspirators? I'm sure grandpa has a lot of answers if you just ask. The media needs to quit implying there is some dark market where this gun was recently obtained. This is the kind of gun you could buy from someone who's had it in the closet for many years or even online without it going through a FFL.
