Clicking Noise from WD Purple?

Anyone else have clicking noises like a heartbeat when recording to WD Purple?

Im starting to find it annoying and im wondering if its normal.

Try turning off disk optimization and search indexing.

Check the SMART stats .. could be dying ..

Every time a HDD writes/erases data there is a faint click/grinding noise as the mechanical arm moves and the heads write/erase data. I can only hear it because it's super quiet in my basement office and the BI PC sits next to me. If it's a loud click/grind then it could be a sign of HDD failure.
