If you don't plan on running an Ethernet Wire, I would get the WiFi version.

If you don't have Home Automation, just use their App, it is a free service, no paid subscription.
If you do, you can skip the App install and connect the DB directly to your network. I used their Windows Client Software to setup my DB, No Internet. They do not know I even use their DB.
