Last night we had some really hard rains. This morning I noticed that my water meter box cover was gone, again. It has a habit of floating away when the rains are very heavy.

fill the tank and pack a lunch. Because it's a "fer piece, if ya know what I mean".
That's insane. Finding the cover at the pond is like winning the lottery.
My IP cameras have solved so many mysteries for me. For example, last week Amazon said they "delivered a package to my mail room." I couldn't find it anywhere -- And my house doesn't have a mail room.
Looking at the camera footage I see the Amazon van driver hide the package behind some bushes in my front yard. Such a weird and stealthy place to put it; Would still be there, soaking wet from the Calif storms, if it weren't for the recorded video.
So many other mysteries at my place have been solved from reviewing video, some which would have nagged me forever if I didn't know what really happened. Just like your missing meter box cover adventure.
