I recently joined. I've had a Blue Iris system in my house a for a few years. I'm actively working to add new cameras and improve existing ones.

Hello, welcome to the forum. Since you already have Blue Iris you're probably not a novice but if you haven't already done so, check out the wiki at the top of the page, a lot of good info there.

My wife was skeptical of having cameras, but really likes them now. So I added two recently with at least one more to go.

The three basic rules of video surveillance cameras-

Rule #1 - Cameras multiply like rabbits.
Rule #2 - Cameras are more addictive than drugs.
Rule #3 - You never have enough cameras.
