After logging on to the web client using any browser including the Activex plugin, the message 'Unable to Connect' is displayed on the screen followed by 'Connecting'. The software is still recording as I can view live and recorded footage from the server application. From time to time it kicks back to live and works then goes away after a few minutes.

i have tried repairing the database, deleted all recordings, change storage location but no change.

That is the old webserver...you are best off updating blue iris so that it includes UI3 and use chrome...its much better.

I am running the new version which I downloaded a few hours ago.

The problem started a few days ago and the new update hasn't solved the problem.

I have restarted the computer several times, updated the operating system (Windows 7 Pro), disabled my anti-virus software.
It doesn't matter what web browser or platform I use. I am getting the same issue. I have tried Chrome,Firefox, IE (With and without ActiveX), Safari and also tried on my android phone and tablet.

What do you mean 'Click Here to use it'?

Network is good. I just did a test file transfer of a 3.2GB iso file back and forth which took
seconds with a transfer rate of 96m/s being the slowest.

Try:
1) Open Chrome's developer tools. You can find it in the menu or press CTRL + SHIFT + I. Watch the console tab when you reload the page. There may be more information there.
2) Change Streaming Quality in UI3 to "Jpeg HD".

I also note that your clip thumbnails are missing when you use default.htm. Are they missing in UI3 as well? Do you have thumbnails in the clip list in Blue Iris's local console?

Also look here to see if your group webcast streams were disabled somehow, though I think that will make them disappear from the "Current Group" list too so it probably isn't what is happening.

When uninstalling Blue Iris I believe there is an option to clear settings (registry entries). This also clears your activation. Make sure you know your license key and if Blue Iris won't accept it again after re-installing, you will need to contact Blue Iris support to have it reset.

The console app has everything and working fine from there. Only web clients are having this issue. I have isolated the BI server onto another switch with my laptop and still having the issue.

I have checked the group settings and all good. Something else just happened, all the little camera windows just disappeared bar 1 which is floating. How do I get them back?

Okay got the cameras back

Interestingly enough I started disabling each camera and eventually found 1 camera that seem to lock up the webclient. It is a camera I bought on Amazon recently. It's a Floureon 2MP Wireless camera. It is configured as a Foscam FI86xx compatible. I will try reconfiguring this otherwise I will have to replace with a more reliable Reolink. Has anyone else got this camera/ configuration settings?

Thanks for your assistance.

BTW The new UI3 is AMAZING!!! Good work bp2008. I have a few clients using Blue Iris. I will be upgrading and pointing them all to the Chrome enabled Interface. It is a much needed improvement to Blue Iris.

I wish BI wouldn't consume less much cpu though. I have to use server grade hardware in most cases. 2 x E5-2620 for a 32 cam installation!

You dont have to use 2 x E5-2620 for a 32 cam installation. You are choosing the wrong processors. See the wiki on hardware selection as well as properly optimizing blue iris...you want a cpu with quicksync.
Also, 32 cameras is a meaningless number, the resolution and frame rates are needed.
