Better Camera Placement

Please check out my kindergarten drawing below and offer some opinions. I currently have 3 cameras placed roughly where the red triangles show. I am now thinking to switch it to 2 cameras in the blue locations. My goal is to optimize view across the front of the house (street) and cover the driveway.

Red setup is better

I would point the 2 cameras watching the driveway towards each other to get a nice crossover where you expect to catch most of the action

Add a camera watching the front door area.

Honestly, never thought about crossing the driveway cameras over each other. My main concern is the current setup has almost no view of the front lawn between the house and the street other than the right side of the corner camera (Bullet). Crossing the driveway ones might help with this since the left one would then overlook the driveway. ID/focus of the front lawn are not super important as the bullet catches the front door very well. I just would like to be able to detect and observe the front lawn area. I was thinking to add a PTZ somewhere to the front of the house with others acting as spotters....not sure. I would think a PTZ would be best placed on the far right location but do not like the $500 range PTZ with the less than ideal sensor size on the 4MP models...I should mention I do have one Reolink device, a doorbell which covers the actual front door itself. I just feel I would be better covered to have a camera tucked in that corner of the house also. It seems you can never have enough but I also don't want the front of the place looking like a casino ceiling....

Why would you change from 3 cams to 2?

It seems like you are doing decently already for detail capture based on approximate field of views. If I were you I would want overview cams on all sides to go with that. These are a fantastic value for overview: Annke FCD600. I have installed quite a few of them. NCD800 is better for color but way more expensive and less vertical field of view.

2- 3.6mm crossing at the drive
1- 2.8 overview at far right corner capturing most all fr yard
1- 3.6mm at door in right corner at 6ft pointed down sidewalk and capturing faces at door

I wouldnt mess with a PTZ.
