Camera to stream basketball games at church

After successfully setting up a camera to stream Sunday services each week, the church called and asked if I could set up a stream for their basketball games. As someone would remote in to start the stream every week, it has to be limited to one camera. I was thinking about using a IPC-Color4K-B180 since it has a wide field of view.

The question for all the techy people out there:
1. Do you think this camera will work or do you have any other suggestions?
2. I’m trying to see if there is any good mounting places for the B180 camera; any suggestions on how far back the camera should be mounted from a 100ft court and also how high should it be if the ground?

@HMC8403 someone else asked about cameras for streaming a sporting event. My thoughts at the time was to use a portable basketball hoop to mount the camera to. If you have portables around, you can roll it around to find the best spot. You can mount at various heights to get the vantage point you need and then mount permanently if you want to or roll it back into storage for safe keeping.

A single wide-angle camera can work, but on a full 100ft court you may find the action feels a bit distant, especially near the baskets. I’d suggest mounting it high at mid-court, roughly 15–25 feet up and far enough back to capture both ends evenly without too much distortion. If possible, test placement first, because small angle changes make a big difference in how watchable the game feels.

A camera with clear HD or 4K video, reliable autofocus, good low-light performance.
 
I have a 180 degree camera looking out over a mostly open field. IMO it would be a horrible choice to cover a basketball court. Everything in the middle would be pretty big, then teeny at the ends (assuming it would be mounted mid-court). Plus, the edges would waste a lot of pixels on things you don't care about, the image would be curved unless you de-warp it, and the aspect ratio would be wrong unless correcting for that.

Agree with TW1, a 180° cam is not the right option for this application.
Most B-Ball action happens near the hoops, so recommend a cam above both baskets. Run 2 streams, 1 for each cam - users will have to open 2 browsers or whatever they use for streaming.
Another option - move the 2 cams near the center of the court to cover both baskets. Probably a better viewing area of the basket & players with this option.
Adding a camera switch for the 2 cams based on moving action/locaton is also an option, but adds cost.
Go with wide angle, short throw lens, fixed lens. B-ball is a fast moving game, even though there is a brightly lit court will need a wide aperture at a high speed.
Throw in a couple high quality mics at either end.

Looks like you have a good height advantage. Helps with the stitching distance in your yard. I see the blur on the siding across the street, but its good enough. does the job well. I fooled around with stitching a quite few times. I can aim for the apartment building, or the street or the grass in the yard. The camera is mounted like knee high maybe 24-28" from the ground. So I have to pick one distance and live with the rest. It's ok, Two other cams are covering the area as well.
For the Basketball court if allotted 1 cam, I would try a 2.8mm lens on a turret like the EmpireTech IPC-T54IR-AS-S3 1/1.8"

Streaming might be less intensive on a single cam, vs. the load the 180 puts out, You could try different resolutions other than the maximum as well.
