Is the regime in Iran soon to be toast?

The entire US/Allied Middle East effort is a huge shit show so far.

Clearly TDS .. I did NOT see ONE tank in that video ..

Wondering if he mentioned "Why did Biden just allow the Taliban to take all these tanks .. " in 2021

Turnbull

@cturnbull1968

The Houthis now have a massive amount of American made tanks and assault vehicles. Why did Trump just allow the Houthis to take all these tanks that can be used against our military and allies???

Really?

Being widely reported. I honestly was intent on posting the report he reposted.

I’d go over tomorrow and take pics for you but being as I’m NPA you wouldn’t believe it if I showed them to you

They clearly captured a lot of equipment and many of the Saudis clearly mass surrendered.

If we’re nitpicking about inventory, we’ve lost sight of the story

Here’s the MAGA version
I’m sure it’s all just a friendly misunderstanding.

The Houthi’s and Saudis will probably cook a goat and tell wild tales together over the weekend

The core military development in that post is real. The surrounding claims are a mix of confirmed details, unverified Houthi-aligned talking points, and heavy exaggeration. nytimes.com

On 10 September 2026, Houthi forces (Ansar Allah) captured the Red Sea port city of Mokha (also spelled Mocha/Al-Makha) after government-aligned units, including Tareq Saleh’s National Resistance Forces, withdrew south toward Dhubab. Multiple Yemeni government sources, Houthi officials, and international outlets (NYT, Reuters, Al Jazeera, AFP, AP) confirmed the fall of the city and port. This followed a week-long offensive that also took Hays and Al-Khawkhah districts plus the Khalid ibn al-Walid camp. Several reports also confirmed the seizure of Zuqar Island via rocket fire and boat-borne assault. Later reporting on 11 September indicated Houthi fighters reached Perim/Mayyun Island after government forces pulled back. So “2 cities + an island in 24 hours” is a compressed but roughly directionally accurate description of a rapid coastal collapse. news.rthk.hk

The Al Jazeera footage attached to the post matches reporting. One clip shows rows of abandoned armored vehicles (MRAPs, M-ATVs, pickups, and other wheeled vehicles) lined up near fuel tanks and port infrastructure in Mokha. These were left behind in the withdrawal. Confirmed captures include U.S.-made Oshkosh M-ATVs that had been supplied to Saudi-backed Yemeni forces, plus UAE-made NIMR vehicles and other equipment. They are mine-resistant armored vehicles, not tanks. Numbers visible and reported are in the dozens, not “thousands of US tanks.” Houthi media called the haul unprecedented; independent outlets described it as a large but unquantified amount of hardware abandoned in a hasty retreat. defence-blog.com

Casualties and prisoners are less clear. Government commanders acknowledged deaths, injuries, and forces captured or surrounded in significant numbers. Earlier fighting in the offensive produced hundreds of fatalities according to conflict monitors. “Thousands killed or captured” and “freed all former Houthi prisoners” have not been independently verified at that scale; some Houthi-linked reports claimed prison releases in newly taken areas. Claims that locals universally “greeted them as liberators” come from Houthi channels and have not been broadly corroborated. theguardian.com

The wider strategic picture is also real but overstated in the post. The capture puts Houthis much closer to the Bab el-Mandeb Strait (Mokha is roughly 50–80 km north of it), a chokepoint that normally carries about 10–12% of global trade. This matters more because Iran has already disrupted the Strait of Hormuz in the ongoing U.S.-Iran war that began with U.S.-Israeli strikes in late February 2026. Oil prices jumped above $100. Iran provided arms and operational guidance for the coastal push, according to Yemeni, Iranian, and regional sources cited by Reuters. Saudi Arabia responded with airstrikes. That is a genuine setback for the internationally recognized Yemeni government and an added pressure point on energy shipping. reuters.com

The rest of the post is rhetorical inflation: Iran and the Houthis as the “two most powerful countries in the region” and Iran as a “global Superpower”; permanent control of 30% of global energy supply; Saudi Arabia unable to export any oil without Houthi permission; the ability to destroy all Saudi pipelines, ports, wells, and refineries in “a couple of days” with nobody able to stop them; and an inevitable global famine/depression. Those are speculative leaps, not established facts. Houthis now have a stronger position to threaten shipping and Saudi Red Sea export workarounds, but they do not have unchallenged, permanent veto power over regional energy infrastructure.

The sarcastic “thank you Mr. Trump for starting the Iran war” refers to the real 2026 conflict. Whether that war caused this specific Houthi offensive is a matter of interpretation—Iran used the Houthis to open another front, and the Yemen truce had already been unraveling. The post presents a maximalist, anti-Trump reading of events that actually happened.
