Ugghhhh

Watching #SCHD behave badly is frustrating.

Typically when the DOW is down, you'll see a bump in SCHD as folks flee to safety of dividends.
But the past few days its not working.

Ugly day in the market unless you were holding #INTC

Any other time I’d be outraged.

Now it’s just called Tuesday

This is good for me, once I receive dividends from CSHI this Friday I am going to sell about 50% of CSHI to buy some more SCHD

Trump administration expresses ‘profound concern’ over Ford’s ties to China

In a letter addressed to Ford CEO Jim Farley, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy questioned the automaker’s strategic trajectory with Chinese companies “as it pertains to American national automotive manufacturing integrity, supply chain exposure, and reliance on technologies of foreign adversaries.”.........

Your Government buying up more private businesses, picking winners.

That used to be called Communism, or Marxism
A core principle of Marxism—the socialist system upon which is founded the more authoritarian political systems of communism and progressive fascism—is government ownership of the means of production.

Government Ownership of the Means of Production

Little mini dictators popping up all over …

Should I buy some more SCHD today, in premarket the price ($34.40) is already $0.30 below the 9 day moving average and $0.20 below the 20 day moving average? Or should I wait because it is going to drop some more?

I’m worried it’s going lower. Other than a small stake in XLE I’m out.
I’m sitting on 1000 SCHD and yesterday hurt.

Marcus online is offering 4.3% for 9 month CDs … just sayin and 4.0% for no penalty CDs (same as MM)

We’re effectively betting against “The House”..

Mortgages going to 5% soon, broke 4.7% yesterday

Then again Scotty doesnt want a crash before midterms, and could “inject” a shit ton into markets to keep them propped up for 60 more days.

Of course inflation is going to surge,
…….keeping an eye on bond yields, the best indicator.

We’re in very stormy waters

I am going to be in with SCHD for the long haul, the dividends are going to be part of my retirement income. Right now I am holding 800 shares and planning on buying 4000 more shares

In theory, SCHD should be one of the canaries in the coal mine.
Historically a safe haven.

But it’s not acting like it right now

Long term it should be fine in theory

90% of my pile is in and will likely stay in fixed income 4% - 5%

I just don’t have the stomach or the time left to go through a 2000 or 2008 event and take 5-12 years to recover

If someone is younger or has bigger cajones, it would be different ;)
