Might be problematic in the US with the Chinese bans, but it seems a Chinese manufacturer plans to produce DDR at scale.

If true, it may help the PC, phone, CCTV etc markets with supply. Currently it appears as though it won't be cheaper, but then market forces are still in play due to shortages enabling higher prices, so there maybe some hope:

There is whole conspiracy going around that this temporary phase was intentionally created for people to either empty their pockets entirely (in the interest of cash-grab by corporations) or so that people can hold onto their existing gadgets longer (to pacify the environmental pundits).
