Trouble deleting camera

for the past few months, when I would delete a camera in BI console, I'd get the message 'Trouble deleting camera'. At that point BI won't close down using X to close, I'd always have to end BI process in task manager.
I then launch Blue Iris and camera is gone and everything looks ok.
It hasn't been causing any issues that I can see but wanted to mention it here and ask if anyone else has this issue.
I'd say this has gone on for at least 5 of the last stable releases, over 4-6 months (guessing).
If no one has a suggestion/solution or troubleshooting approach I'll email BI but wanted to check here first.
PS. As far as versions go I'm always on the latest stable version only so it happens on the last few releases.

I have not encountered this issue, but I can not remember when I have had to delete a camera, usually adding them! the few times I have deleted cameras at least a year or two ago I did not have any of the issues that you have described!
What antivirus program are you running, the camera configs are stored in the windows registry, is it possible that your AV or some other program is interfering with the registry access?

I run bitdefender. I'm certain it's not bitdefender, I've been using BI for many years now and this only started happening in the last few months, and at some time after I upgraded to 6.x version. I test different cameras out occasionally so that is why I occasionally add/delete a camera from time to time.

I got it once, but I can't remember the scenario which created the issue. I think i did a "find inspect" and refreshed the cam configs and then deleted. i may have rebooted too.
