ZOSI NVR wont recognize my hard drive

I have a zosi nvr that takes internal hard drives.
it recognized my 160g seagate hard drive but wont recognize my 500g hitachi drive. i was told it needs to be formatted in fat32 which i did..
the drive works fine on computer..

any ideas???

Hi tony.. i just read that thread.. can you please elaborate on the way i should format this drive????
i have now plugged the hdd in to my desktop computer..
it shows up fine and i have disk management tools to do whatever i want..
1) should i format it or not?
2) should i format in nfts or fat32?
3) partitions or no partitions?
4) initialize as gpt or mbr?

You could do that, most DVR/NVR menus have a utility section to do so; it may just detect that it is not formatted and will ask you.

I'd try unformatted...worst that could happen is you have to pull it out and go with NTFS.

ahhh just formatted nfts... i will try that... if it does now work i will try unformmatted..
