What equipment does a flock ALPR setup use, do you think?

I've used my cameras a lot more than I thought, to be honest. I've used them to pull footage for police on three separate occasions over the time they've been up. I'm running A reolink POE doorbell camera, Annke C-800s, and an empiretech T54IR-ZE s3.

The Empiretech is an improvement over the c800's but not nearly good enough to capture fast enough to operate as an ALPR.

So, I'm curious, what do you think Flock uses?

The Empiretech cameras work great for LPR and many of us use it for LPR. You need the right optical zoom and angle and shutter speed settings.

Sounds like you are trying to do too much with one camera and/or don't have it set up optimized for LPR. It cannot be an overview and LPR at night. You need fast shutters like 1/1000 or 1/2000 and the image will be all black except for the plate and head/tail lights.

My Z12E image beats the flock image according to LEO and my own eyes.

The ZE works to up to 20ish feet, while the Z4E is good to 60ish feet, and the Z12E up to 200ish feet.

Flock makes their own cameras.
