When viewing alerts, tripwire, intrusion etc my video playback seems to miss part of the video. I am using the latest dmss app and my NVR is DHI-NVR2104-i2. Any idea why this is happening? View attachment 20260216222941848.mp4
try lowering your FPS from 30 if they are maxed out. 15 is plenty. this shrinks the data thruput labor on the NVR's hardware. Also it could have 3 motion events somehow as separate clips for that guy. which might make it appear to stop start. These things are not Cray supercomputers. they barely put enough horsepower under the hood to get the job done.
Some hard drives multitask better than others. Your recording and playing back simultaneously so your doubling up the workload. I found the whole NVR thing frustrating. went to BI. ( not for everybody)
When I get in Cognitive decline and can't deal with technical stuff, I might switch to Simply-safe or Blink and go back to my rocking chair.
I have fixed it by putting frames to 20 and also in the storage schedule deselected the intelligent and motion option and now it's playing the full clips without the skipping. I had selected general, Alarm, motion and intelligent on 24 hour record before hand.
I work from here to see what the issue is by selecting the options one at a time and testing.
Oh well done.
Doubtful if the "I Frame" interval change, would of caused the original issue. Normally this would cause a pulse on video viewing.
As said by myself and others. Having motion/SMD detection & multiple schedules recorded. Will clash with IVS and cause the issues experienced.
